We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to deploy, support, and continuously improve a platform based on local Kubernetes. This role focuses on both the initial implementation, including setup and migration, and ongoing operational support of Kubernetes-based applications. The ideal candidate will have robust experience with Kubernetes and Linux, strong troubleshooting skills, and hands-on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, particularly using Bamboo.
Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain installation scripts and set up Kubernetes clusters tailored to client needs
- Manage workload migrations between environments when required
- Build and manage Docker images and orchestrate containers
- Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on Bamboo as the primary tool
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across Linux systems
- Monitor system performance using a Prometheus/Grafana stack, and utilize Splunk as the log collector
- Suggest improvements to enhance operational efficiency based on performance insights
- Work closely with clients to clarify deployment requirements and optimize infrastructure decisions
- Share technical insights with the team and contribute to ongoing process improvements
- Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure processes and troubleshooting procedures
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing Kubernetes-based applications, including local Kubernetes environments
- Strong Linux administration skills
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially using Jenkins or Bamboo
- Proficiency in Bash and/or Python scripting
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Helm for Kubernetes package management
- Experience in Docker image building and container orchestration
- Exposure to Java/Eclipse application support
- Understanding of AD/SSO/LDAP integration for secure authentication
- Background in KNIME operations
