WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Nike Digital Merchandising is part of the wider Nike Merchandising Function.
Our role is to win with consumers through anchoring our assortment strategies into the Sport Offense. This can only be done in partnership with cross-functional teams in Merchandising (Nike Direct Stores Merchandising, Product Merchandising, Channel Merchandising, Geo Express Lane) as well as Planning teams, Digital Experience and Marketing teams.
The role reports to the Director, Running Nike Direct Merchandising and is part of the wider Digital Performance merchandising team. In this role specifically, you will be part of the Nike Digital ACG crew. Therefore, the role has a dotted line to the Sport Business Director for ACG.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a collaborative and commercially minded merchandising professional who is passionate about running, outdoor culture, product, and creating meaningful digital assortments for consumers. You bring curiosity, ownership, and a consumer-first mindset, with the ability to turn insights into clear merchandising choices that support both brand expression and business growth. You truly enjoy the Trade component in this role and bring your entrepreneurial, winning spirit to run the business like its yours and are committed to serve the next generation of runners.
You’ll be leading a complex business area, so experience in merchandising, buying, or a closely related commercial role is important. You have strong commercial acumen, a sharp eye for product, and the ability to translate consumer and business insights into impactful digital assortment strategies & decisions. You think ahead, pay close attention to detail, and care about serving the next generation of runners and outdoor consumers through a compelling online assortment.
You’re comfortable working in a dynamic environment, balancing multiple seasons and priorities while staying focused on what matters most. You communicate clearly, build strong cross-functional relationships, and are confident presenting ideas, strategies, and recommendations to a range of stakeholders. You are adaptable, solution-oriented, and able to respond with focus and agility as business needs evolve.
Requirements:
- Experience in buying, merchandising, digital merchandising, or a related commercial role, at a strategic level.
- A passion for running, outdoor culture, sport, product, and digital consumer experiences.
- Ability to build seasonal assortment strategies from insight to execution, using data (retail KPIs) and consumer understanding to guide decisions.
- Strong commercial judgment, influencing skills and confidence navigating a complex, fast-moving business environment.
- Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and partner across functions.
- Comfort working with merchandising visualization tools, databases, analytical dashboards, and Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
- Willingness to go the last mile, translating into executional excellence.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As part of the Nike Digital Merchandising team, you will build and manage seasonal assortments for Running Footwear and ACG Footwear/Apparel within Nike Digital. Your work will help shape how consumers discover, experience, and engage with Nike products online.
In this role, you are accountable for:
- With your athlete mindset, you are contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture within Nike Direct Merchandising and across cross-functional partners. You’ll share knowledge, provide guidance, and support teammates through collaboration and clear communication.
- Building highly curated seasonal assortments from strategy and capacity planning through execution, with a clear flow and strong connection to consumer needs. You’ll drive the seasonal process and engage key stakeholders along the way.
- Partnering with merchandising counterparts and cross-functional teams to bring the Sport X Nike Direct strategy and vision to life across Nike Digital.
- Managing pre-season, in-season, and future-season business needs through clear assortment strategies aligned to business priorities. You’ll use trade levers, retail data, and consumer insights to understand performance, make informed recommendations, optimize results, and influence future line plan needs for the Nike Digital consumer.
