About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Data Engineer / Cloud professional with strong architecture expertise to design enterprise data platforms. You will translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient solutions, providing technical leadership across architecture and data engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and design end-to-end architectures for data ingestion, integration, storage, and consumption.
• Define data models and integration solutions using ETL/ELT, APIs, streaming, and Change Data Capture (CDC).
• Design cloud platforms, Data Lakes, Lakehouses, and Data Warehouses.
• Ensure data governance, security, data quality, and GDPR compliance.
• Evaluate technologies, document architectural decisions, and establish reference standards while ensuring scalability, performance, resilience, and cost efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership, produce documentation, and present recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, with solid expertise in Data Architecture, Solution Architecture, and enterprise data platform design.
• Advanced knowledge of Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Lakehouses, Big Data, relational databases, and NoSQL.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and the design of scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-efficient architectures.
• Strong expertise in ETL/ELT, APIs, CDC, streaming, and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, Security, Data Lineage, Metadata Management, Master Data Management (MDM), and GDPR.
• Experience defining standards and reference architectures within Enterprise Architecture.
• Fluent English, strong technical leadership, and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, and Redshift.
• Experience in the Energy & Utilities sector.
• Knowledge of Analytics, Machine Learning, and AI.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence.

Ideal Candidate Profile

A technically strong professional who combines data engineering knowledge with an enterprise architecture perspective. Able to balance business needs, governance, performance, and costs while guiding teams and explaining architectural decisions clearly.
