Portfolio Analyst

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting portfolio decisions, market analysis, and business performance across our European pharmaceutical operations. Your impact at Abacus Medicine

As Portfolio Analyst, you will be responsible for providing the data-driven insights that support commercial and strategic decision-making. By analyzing market developments, portfolio performance, and business risks, you will help ensure that we make informed decisions that strengthen our position in the European pharmaceutical market.

You will work closely with colleagues across Business Development, Data & Digital, and other key functions, translating business needs into analytical tools and actionable recommendations.

Your responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting product and portfolio analyses to identify opportunities and risks
• Performing market analyses and monitoring developments across relevant markets
• Supporting portfolio management and commercial decision-making with data-driven insights
• Managing and assessing risks across relevant business areas
• Collaborating with Power BI, Data Engineering, and Digital teams to improve reporting and analytical capabilities
• Translating business requirements into specifications for digital tools and reporting solutions
• Supporting Sales and the Portfolio Management team with analyses and operational tasks
• Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization
• Building strong relationships across functions to ensure effective use of market intelligence
• Travelling occasionally (approximately 1-2 days per month) Who you will work with

You will become part of a highly collaborative and international environment where cross-functional cooperation is essential. You will work closely with colleagues within Business Development as well as stakeholders across Purchasing, Data Engineering, Digital Transformation, and other commercial teams.

What you bring

We imagine that you have:

• A Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. You can also have a biological background combined with commercial work-experience.
• Newly graduated candidates or candidates with a couple of years experience from similar roles.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• The ability to communicate complex analyses in a clear and compelling way
• Strong prioritization and time management skills
• Experience working with data, reporting, and business insights
• A genuine interest in the pharmaceutical industry and market dynamics
• Professional fluency in English. It’s an international team, so you must be comfortable speaking English as the main language.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical markets
• French language skills Who you are
