Are you passionate about brewing, process optimisation and turning data into concrete improvements? Would you like to work closely with production and use your technical knowledge to optimise processes? Whether you are a recent graduate or have a few years of experience, this is an opportunity to develop your expertise and make a visible difference at Harboes Bryggeri.
About us
At Harboes Bryggeri, we have been brewing beer and soft drinks since 1883 and are today Denmark’s third-largest brewery. We have approximately 600 employees across our two sites in Skælskør, Denmark, and Dargun, Germany.
For our brewery in Skælskør, we are looking for a Brewing Specialist to work with optimisation and development across our brewing and beverage production. You will take on a technical specialist role, using production data, analyses and trials to identify opportunities for improvement and turn them into solutions that work in practice.
The position and key responsibilities
Your first major project will focus on identifying losses and optimisation opportunities in the brewery, with the aim of improving yield and making the best possible use of our raw materials. From there, you will work on a range of optimisation projects within areas such as processes, raw materials, water, energy and capacity.
You will become part of our brewing team, report directly to our Brewmaster and work closely with colleagues across Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Finance/Controlling.
Main focus areas include:
- Collecting, structuring and analysing production, process and quality data.
- Preparing technical calculations, mass balances, capacity analyses and technical decision-making support.
- Identifying opportunities to reduce raw material, water and energy consumption, losses and process variation.
- Planning and following up on production trials and changes to processes and recipes.
- Translating analyses and trials into practical standards, KPIs, SOPs and instructions.
- Following improvements through implementation and documenting their impact on production.
About you
You may be a recent graduate or have a few years of relevant experience. What matters most is that you have a strong technical foundation, an analytical and curious mindset and a desire to understand how processes work in practice.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a relevant degree within brewing, food technology, chemistry, biotechnology, process engineering or a related field.
- Enjoys working with data, technical calculations and complex problems.
- Works in a structured way and is motivated by analysing, testing and implementing solutions.
- Enjoys working closely with production and can collaborate with operators, specialists and management.
- Communicates well in English. Danish or another Scandinavian language is an advantage.
Experience from a brewery or food production environment is an advantage, but not a requirement. We therefore also encourage you to apply if you are a recent graduate looking for your first full-time position.
"As Brewing Specialist, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise to solve real challenges in our production and follow your projects from the first data to the final solution. We are looking for someone who is curious, eager to learn and willing to challenge us on how we can do things even better."
