Job Description About the role
As AUTODOC continues to expand its digital footprint across Europe, our Private Brands portfolio plays a central role in delivering reliable, high-quality automotive solutions to millions of customers. To maintain our high standards, ensure sustainability, and meet evolving EU packaging regulations, we are establishing unified packaging engineering standards, technical specifications, and streamlined lifecycle management processes across all product categories.
To help us with achieving this, we are hiring a Private Brands Packaging Manager. In this pivotal position, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our packaging strategy across all Private Brands categories. You will oversee end-to-end packaging lifecycle management - from creating technical specifications, managing product labeling, and optimizing logistics efficiency to driving packaging sustainability and maintaining full data governance in our Product Information System (PIS). Acting as the central packaging expert, you will collaborate closely with Vendor Management, Product Management, Logistics, Legal, and external suppliers to deliver compliant, cost-effective, and customer-centric packaging solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of a business-critical function within a fast-scaling e-commerce leader. You will directly shape the physical touchpoint of our brand, optimize international logistics parameters, and drive impactful sustainability initiatives that reach millions of drivers across 27 European countries.
What You Will Do
- Own the strategy, creation, and continuous optimization of technical packaging specifications, labeling standards, and durability parameters across all Private Brands.
- Lead packaging development through the entire product lifecycle for new launches, supplier updates, and ongoing portfolio maintenance.
- Ensure strict regulatory compliance with current and upcoming EU packaging legislation, recyclability standards, and environmental markings.
- Partner cross-functionally with Procurement, Logistics, Quality, Product Data, and Legal, while serving as the primary technical contact for external packaging suppliers.
- Optimize packaging dimensions and construction to reduce logistics costs, minimize transit damage, and lower material impact.
- Manage packaging master data, technical approvals, and documentation within the Product Information System (PIS).
- Monitor packaging KPIs, customer feedback, and warranty insights to drive process improvements and design enhancements.
Qualifications What You Bring to the Role
- A Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Product Development, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in packaging engineering or management, ideally within retail, FMCG, manufacturing, or automotive e-commerce.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, production processes, compliance standards, and product labeling lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex, cross-functional projects and coordinating closely with international suppliers.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence, alongside MS Office or Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with Product Information Systems (PIS/PIM) and basic knowledge of tools like Figma are considered a plus.
- A structured, solution-oriented mindset with fluency in English (B2/C1 or higher is mandatory); additional European language skills (such as Polish or Russian) are advantageous.
