We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our Logistics Department. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing supply chain activities, ensuring the timely delivery of products, and supporting smooth logistics operations across Europe. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, warehouses, and logistics partners to maintain efficient and reliable processes.
Core Tasks
- Collect forecasts from the Business Line Management team and place purchase orders with our Headquarters.
- Manage purchase order processing and coordinate shipments. Monitor supplier delivery schedules, communicate with freight forwarders, generate shipping documentation, book shipments into the appropriate warehouses, and allocate product quantities to customers.
- Collaborate with sales teams across Europe to plan, coordinate, and arrange shipments.
- Identify the root causes of delivery issues and implement effective solutions.
- Work closely with warehouses and carriers to ensure shipments depart according to planned time slots and required quantities.
- Verify invoices from freight forwarders, maintain stock accuracy, coordinate rework logistics flows, and monitor warehouse performance.
- Prepare and analyze regular reports on supplier KPIs, material availability, delivery performance, and cost variances.
- Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operations.
If You Have...
For this position, we are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent qualification gained through relevant work experience.
You have at least 3-4 years of experience in a similar logistics or supply chain role.
Additionally, you:
- Have experience working in an international business environment.
- Are comfortable collaborating with multiple stakeholders across different functions and regions.
- Have an affinity with the consumer electronics industry.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a logical approach to resolving operational challenges.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands-on attitude.
- Have knowledge of European customs processes (preferred).
- Have professional proficiency in spoken and written English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or Mandarin is considered an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experienced with Oracle/ERP systems.
- Experienced with Power BI or VBA (preferred).
