We are currently seeking a role Director of Finance within our department of Spanish division. The position will a temporary replacement for a long term sick leave, with the opportunity to incorporate eventually as permanent position. Location is in Madrid, El Cañaveral Industrial Park area.

You would be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting to group, main tasks being statutory compliance, audit management and treasury management. Required ample expertise in accounting (international and local standards) and local tax compliance. Working closely with Group finance teams and external stakeholders.

Main areas of responsibilities

• Financial accounting and reporting: Control of accounting bookkeeping and month end process like journal postings, P&L statements, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and implementing key control systems for accurate accounting standards. Reporting to Group for consolidation.
• Creation of financial reports for Finance Management.
• Audit management, both internal and external, to ensure the punctual and accurate reporting of data and carry out internal management control systems to fulfil its conclusions and aims.
• Cash & Treasury management: Supplier payments, management of Cashflow and tax compliance payments, supervision of bank reconciliations.
• Tax compliance of the Spanish division: reporting and meeting all tax obligations at a local level: VAT returns, PAYE Income tax, Social Security, other tax and corporate tax, ensuring due dates for payments.
• Collaboration with Finance Group on cost control and cost deviation for better financial analysis.

Experience, Knowledge and skills

• Ample professional experience in finance, either on national or international level. Minimum of 10 years, with strong academic background in finance.
• Good communication, organizational, leadership skills and team building.
• Analytical skills for better decision making.
• Dominion of excel and finance ERP software and other tools.

Essential / Indispensable requirements:

• High knowledge of English, both spoken and written for corporate meetings and reporting. Certificate C1 level or similar. We will make a test level.
• Knowledge and experience of tax compliance. It will be appreciated further the knowledge of Spanish corporate tax.
• On top of Spanish local accounting standards (NPGC). It will be appreciated further the knowledge of IRFS international standards.

Non-essential but valuable requirements:

• Experience at a Multinational corporate Enterprise.
• Experience with SAGE X3 and SAP.
• Chance to incorporate to the business immediately.

We offer:

• Salary range: 55.000 to 60.000 euros per year, 12 instalments.
• Opportunity to do partial remote working.
