- Eneco - Rotterdam
- You help Eneco move from reactive to proactive telemetry and incident management for renewable assets.
- You improve data quality, monitoring and availability for assets connected to our IoT platform.
- You work at the intersection of renewables, data, trading, technology and external partners. Why choose Eneco?
Eneco is expanding its renewable energy portfolio and digital services. More assets are being connected to our IoT platform, including wind, solar and battery assets. This creates new opportunities to improve real-time insight, increase asset value and support Eneco’s sustainability goals.
You join a people-oriented environment where collaboration matters. You work with colleagues from Smart Operations, Eneco Energy Trade, Tech teams and external partners. Together, you make sure that important asset data is available, reliable and useful for the business.
What you’ll do
You will help build and operate Eneco's renewable energy telemetry landscape. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that critical operational data from wind, solar and battery assets is available, reliable and actionable.
You will work closely with colleagues from Smart Operations, Eneco Energy Trade, Tech teams and external partners. Together, you ensure that asset telemetry supports forecasting, trading and operational decision-making.
A key part of your role is improving the way telemetry data quality and availability are managed across the organization. You will help move from a reactive way of working, where issues are addressed after they occur, towards a proactive approach focused on prevention, monitoring and continuous improvement.
You analyse telemetry data, identify trends and recurring issues, and translate your findings into practical actions. You support incident triage and classification, help define data quality standards, and contribute to the further development of telemetry incident management processes.
As Eneco's renewable asset portfolio continues to grow, you will play an important role in connecting new assets, improving monitoring capabilities and increasing the reliability of the data ecosystem that powers our trading and forecasting activities.
Is this about you?
You enjoy working at the intersection of data, technology and operations. You are analytical and structured, but also able to bring people together and create alignment across teams.
You are comfortable working in an environment that is still evolving and where you can help shape processes, standards and ways of working. You enjoy understanding how things work, identifying opportunities for improvement and turning ideas into practical solutions.
You bring:
- HBO or WO level of thinking and working, preferably in Data, IT, Engineering, Business Information Management or a related field.
- Experience with data analysis, operational process improvement and stakeholder management.
- Experience with SQL and preferably Python.
- Experience with dashboarding and monitoring tools such as Power BI, Grafana or similar technologies.
- Affinity with IoT, telemetry, operational data platforms or industrial systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across business and technical teams.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to take ownership.
- Experience in renewable energy, asset operations or energy markets is considered a plus.
- Dutch is a plus, but not a requirement. You’ll be responsible for
- Monitoring telemetry data quality and availability for renewable assets connected to Eneco's IoT platform.
- Identifying, analysing and investigating data quality issues, telemetry dropouts and operational risks.
- Supporting incident triage, classification and resolution for telemetry-related disruptions.
- Defining and maintaining data quality guidelines, operational procedures and monitoring standards.
- Designing dashboards, alerts and reporting mechanisms that enable proactive monitoring and issue detection.
- Collaborating with asset managers, external vendors, engineering teams and trading stakeholders to improve data reliability and operational performance.
- Supporting the onboarding of new renewable assets and new asset types into Eneco's telemetry and IoT ecosystem.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives based on data analysis, incident trends and business needs. This is where you’ll work
You’ll be part of the Smart Operations Team, a multidisciplinary team at the heart of Eneco’s digital energy transition. The team helps make sure that smart assets, IoT devices and data-driven services work reliably and efficiently.
You work closely with colleagues across technology, operations, trading and business domains. Together, you improve how renewable assets are connected, monitored and supported. The team combines technical expertise with a strong focus on processes, collaboration and continuous improvement.
This is a role with room to grow. The current way of working is still developing, and your contribution helps shape how Eneco manages renewable asset telemetry in the future.
