In our Finnish Business Development team, we are currently looking for a Student Assistant with a structured approach and an interest in supporting business operations.

Drive meaningful change

As a Student Assistant in the Finnish Business Development team, you will play a valuable role in supporting our operational processes, coordination efforts, and day-to-day tasks that keep our market activities running smoothly.

Your contribution will help strengthen our operational accuracy and efficiency. You will gain hands-on experience and take on real responsibility in your role, making the work both practical and rewarding.

Get a glimpse of our world

You will be part of a dynamic and ambitious team focused on professional development, individual responsibility, and team spirit. Our team currently consists of two part-time students and four full-time employees.

We believe that having varied perspectives drives innovation and growth. That’s why we’re open to different profiles and educational backgrounds to take our team’s impact to the next level.

Working at Abacus Medicine means working shoulder to shoulder every day across the entire organization to become the leading parallel importer company in Europe. We are busy, but we make sure to have a fun working environment with many social activities. In addition, the students at Abacus are valued to a great extent and receive a lot of responsibility. This is led by the existence of our student board, which has a strong influence when it comes to student culture and the future development of our students.

Are you ready to embark on this journey with us?

In close cooperation with the team and under the guidance of our Associate Specialist, Business Operations and Marketing, you will support our day-to-day activities across the Finnish market. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with business operations within the pharmaceutical industry.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the coordination of information regarding products, prices and the movement of goods with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assisting with the coordination of quality-related activities, such as product complaints
  • Supporting the coordination of regulatory compliance tasks, such as notifying the Finnish Medicines Agency of shortages
  • Taking responsibility for database updates and maintenance
  • Assisting the team with various daily ad hoc tasks

Fuel for your success in the role

We expect you to be self-driven and to bring a can-do attitude to new tasks and challenges. Thriving in a dynamic environment, having a structured approach to your work, and being comfortable juggling several ongoing tasks are key to succeeding in this role. Furthermore, we imagine that you:

  • Are currently enrolled on a degree program
  • Have a full proficiency in both written and verbal Finnish and English
  • Are detail-oriented and thorough in your work
  • Are proactive, curious and like to organize and optimize tasks
  • Are collaborative and enjoy working as part of a team
