Mission of the Role:
Lead the architecture, design and development of the IT solutions that run Visteon’s Manufacturing Operations. As the technical delivery engine of the IT for Operations organization, own the solution portfolio:
1. Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES);
2. Shopfloor Material Flow Solutions (WMS + Shop floor WIP)
3. AI/GenAI solutions applied to the Operations space.
Key Responsabilities of this Role:
- Own end-to-end solution architecture and development across the operations portfolio mentioned above.
- Lead and develop a multi-site team of Product Family Leads, Lead Analysts and Senior Analysts – setting technical direction, balancing capacity across initiatives, and growing the team’s engineering and AI capability.
- Drive the CIMPLE platform modernization: deliver CIMPLE 4.4 development and global deployment, drive the move to a hybrid cloud, container-based architecture, and optimize the data footprint to reduce Total Cost of Ownership.
- Lead the delivery of AI and GenAI use cases into operations solutions and champion the shift to an AI-driven software development lifecycle.
- Safeguard system reliability and integration integrity across the portfolio – SAP and Enterprise Data Warehouse interfaces and OEM data exchange – ensuring performance, security and data quality.
- Partner with business and IT leadership to align technical roadmaps with operational priorities and govern delivery – embed architecture standards, reduce defects, improve speed of delivery and drive measurable business outcomes for the stakeholders.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Contribution to Manufacturing improvement of efficiency and quality KPIs. Driven by Plant OEE and FTT KPIs
- System availability, stability and performance across manufacturing sites.
- On-time, on-scope delivery of the portfolio roadmap.
- TCO reduction achieved through system and data footprint optimization.
- Speed of delivery and defect reduction from the AI-driven SDLC.
Qualification, Experience and Skills:
- 8 years’ experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and shop-floor / supply-chain / quality domain expertise.
- 5 years’ experience in Software development and solution architecture, containerization and hybrid-cloud design; performance and TCO optimization.
- Experience in Systems integration – SAP interfaces, Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), and OEM / Catena-X data exchange.
- Data governance across a multi-application portfolio.
- Applied AI / ML and GenAI solution development, plus AI-assisted software engineering.
- Modern Software Development Life Cycle, DevOps and Agile delivery practices, with strong quality and security discipline.
- Proven leadership of distributed, multi-site development teams and third-party/vendor management.
