Design Engineer – Heavy Trucks

Assignment Description

• VCB distribution boxes, charging boxes, and inlet installations.
• PTO installations.
• Cable harness brackets and strain relief solutions.
• VCA cable interface integration within the chassis domain.
• The assignment involves collaboration with global teams across product planning, production, and design, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
• You will also be expected to support and contribute to the continuous improvement of digital tools and engineering processes, helping drive innovation in future transportation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop VCB system installations within heavy truck projects, using CATIA and company design standards.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and suppliers to ensure robust and manufacturable solutions.
• Support integration, validation testing, and design reviews, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Maintain and update technical documentation and support production-related activities when needed.
• Participate in daily team activities, including stand-ups, coordination meetings, and internal knowledge sharing.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of design engineering experience, preferably in automotive industries.
• Strong skills in sheet metal bracket design.
• Experience in chassis installation for heavy-duty trucks.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 and tolerance analysis.
• Knowledge of manufacturability principles for sheet metal.
