As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and quality assurance of international suppliers for mechanical components and steel structures used in wind turbines. You will ensure compliance with quality standards throughout the product lifecycle, from supplier qualification and product introductions to series production and complaint management. In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers in an international environment.
YOUR TASKS

Ensure the quality performance and continuous development of international suppliers for mechanical components and steel structures

Qualify new suppliers and conduct supplier, process, and system audits

Support first article inspections, production approvals, and new product introductions

Evaluate manufacturing processes, quality concepts, and technical changes with regard to quality and manufacturability

Analyze quality deviations, manage supplier complaints, and coordinate corrective actions

Monitor supplier performance based on defined KPIs and drive continuous improvement activities

Collaborate closely with Engineering, Global Sourcing, Project Management, Service, and external partners
YOUR PROFILE

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification

Several years of experience in Supplier Quality Management, Quality Management, or Supplier Development

Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes, welding technology, and materials engineering

Ability to read and evaluate technical drawings according to ISO/GPS standards, ideally combined with knowledge of EN ISO 3834, EN 1090, and ISO 5817

Experience with quality methods such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and 8D, ideally combined with auditing experience

Proficiency in MS Office; SAP, Teamcenter, and ServiceNow knowledge considered an advantage

Fluent in English, both written and spoken
