Jeppesen ForeFlight brings together decades of Jeppesen's aeronautical data expertise with ForeFlight's award-winning flight planning and navigation platform. Our software supports pilots, airlines, and flight departments around the world, delivering mission-critical tools for safe and efficient flight operations. As we continue to grow our presence in Europe, we're building out our Denmark-based team to help design the experiences pilots and operators rely on every day.
About the Role
We're looking for a Product Designer II to join our team in Denmark. You'll design end-to-end experiences across our flight planning, navigation, and aeronautical data products, turning complex workflows into interfaces that are clear, efficient, and trustworthy for pilots and flight operations teams. You'll work closely with product managers and engineers throughout the product development process, from early research through polished, shipped features.
What You'll Do
- Design end-to-end user experiences and interfaces for web and mobile products, from concept through final visual design.
- Partner with product managers and engineers to understand user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
- Conduct or contribute to user research, usability testing, and customer feedback sessions to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design concepts and validate ideas quickly.
- Contribute to and help maintain our design system, ensuring consistency and quality across products.
- Collaborate closely with engineers during implementation to ensure designs are executed with high fidelity.
- Present design work and rationale clearly to product, engineering, and leadership stakeholders.
- Balance the needs of a highly specialized, safety-conscious user base with the goal of intuitive, modern design.
- Iterate on shipped features based on usage data, customer feedback, and evolving product needs.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience as a product designer or UX/UI designer working on web or mobile applications.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work, from research and concept through polished, shipped interfaces.
- Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and familiarity with prototyping to communicate interactions.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design fundamentals.
- Experience conducting or collaborating on user research and usability testing.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain design decisions and rationale clearly.
- Experience working closely with engineers and product managers in an agile development environment.
- Ability to work independently on a well-defined product area while collaborating within a broader design team.
- Based in Denmark or willing to work from our Denmark location, with authorization to work in the EU.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing for aviation, geospatial, or other safety-critical, data-intensive domains.
- Experience designing for complex, data-dense interfaces such as maps, charts, or dashboards.
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices and designing for diverse user needs.
- Experience contributing to or building a design system from the ground up.
- Interest in aviation or flight operations.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- The chance to design experiences that support pilots and flight operations globally.
- A collaborative, international team spanning Europe and the US.
- Flexible working arrangements and a strong culture of continuous learning.
- Opportunities for professional growth within a growing European product design team.
