Senior Compliance Officer – Compliance Advisory

The role
As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will join the Compliance Advisory Team, our second line of defence. The position is located in Ballerup, Copenhagen.
Key responsibilities
- Provide regulatory compliance advice and recommendations to executive management and other key stakeholders.
- Support the implementation of new regulatory requirements.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments, identify regulatory gaps, recommend mitigating actions and follow-up on implementation.
- Monitoring local regulatory requirements and promote compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards in Nets Denmark.
- Contribute to strengthening governance and compliance practices across the organisation.
- Play a key role in monitoring activities as well as reporting to senior management and Board of Directors.
What we're looking for
You are a pragmatic compliance professional who can balance regulatory expectations with business realities. You are comfortable working with regulators, senior stakeholders and translating complex regulation into clear, actionable advice.
Experience and skills
- General compliance expertise and strong knowledge of financial services regulations such as PSD2/PSD3, DORA and AML.
- Experience in advising business stakeholders and senior management on regulatory compliance matters.
- Solid understanding of compliance risk management and second-line oversight.
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and assess business impact.
- Strong analytical-, communication-, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, independent, and solutions-oriented approach.
Qualifications

A relevant M.Sc. degree in Law.

Minimum 5 years' experience in compliance, regulatory advisory, risk management, or a similar control function.

Experience from working within a regulated financial institution, payment institution, fintech, or financial supervisory authorities

Strong understanding of European financial services regulation.
