Location: Amsterdam – we work from the office on Mondays and Thursdays; the rest of the week is flexible.

Hours: 24-32hours per week

Duration: Period of 4–6 months - September Start.

Talk360 is a purpose-driven international scale-up on a mission to connect people around the world with their family and friends. Millions of calls run through our platform every month, across dozens of markets — and behind those calls sits an operation we are smartly automating.

We are looking for an intern who wants to spend four to six months building automations that people actually use every day.

You will sit with our Operations team and own real workflows end to end: find the manual, repetitive process, map it, build it in n8n, wire it into the systems that matter, and keep it running. Where a workflow needs judgement rather than logic, you will put an AI model inside it.

The second half of the role is enablement. Automations only pay off if teams trust and use them, so you will also help colleagues across Support, Finance, Commercial and Product get comfortable with the AI tools we run — through short training sessions, clear documentation, and templates they can pick up themselves.

This is hands-on and unglamorous in the best way. Expect APIs, webhooks, JSON, broken edge cases and the satisfaction of deleting somebody's weekly spreadsheet ritual for good.

What you'll do

  • Build automations. Design and ship workflows in n8n that remove manual work across Operations, Support, Finance and Product.
  • Connect our systems. Integrate internal and third-party tools via APIs and webhooks — payments platforms, our data warehouse, Slack, Jira, Confluence and our support stack.
  • Put AI to work. Use LLM APIs inside workflows for classification, summarisation, drafting and monitoring, and learn what AI should and shouldn't be trusted with.
  • Keep it reliable. Add error handling and alerting, monitor what you've built, and fix it before someone else notices.
  • Document properly. Write up workflow logic in Confluence so the automation outlives your internship.
  • Hunt for bottlenecks. Sit with teams, map how work actually happens, and bring your own proposals for what to automate next.
  • Run enablement. Deliver internal training sessions and practical guides that help teams use AI tools well.

Example projects

  • A scheduled anomaly detection workflow that queries our data warehouse and pushes alerts into Slack when something looks wrong.
  • Automated weekly and monthly operational reporting, replacing a manual pull-and-paste routine.
  • AI-assisted triage and drafting for inbound support and customer reviews.
  • Reusable n8n templates plus a training session so other teams can build simple automations themselves.

Must have

  • Currently enrolled at a university or hogeschool for the full internship period.
  • Studying Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Data, and genuinely interested in process automation.
  • Hands-on experience building workflows in an automation platform: n8n, Make or Zapier. Show us something you've built. (We run on n8n, so you'll go deep on it here.)
  • Comfortable with APIs, webhooks and reading JSON.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to map a messy process and see where it breaks.
  • Proactive by default: you spot the opportunity, propose the fix, and follow through without being chased.
  • Solid with spreadsheets and formulas (Google Sheets or Excel).
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice to have

  • Basic coding in SQL, Python or JavaScript.
  • Experience with LLM APIs or prompt engineering.
  • Familiarity with BigQuery or another data warehouse.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools

What You’ll Get

  • A hands-on role in an international start-up with a big mission
  • Feedback and mentorship from our team
  • Freedom to experiment and bring your own ideas to the table
  • A fun, diverse, and supportive team based in Amsterdam
  • Internship allowance & flexibility (Only Monday and Thursday are office days)
  • The chance to be part of an international team with an impactful mission

How to apply

Send your CV and a short note about one automation you have built — what the manual process was, what you built, and what it saved.

About Talk360

Talk360 was founded with a clear purpose: to become the most accessible and reliable calling app for African diaspora communities, both within Africa and abroad. For our users, calls are not transactional, they are emotional lifelines to family, friends, and essential support networks. When service quality drops, they feel it immediately. That responsibility drives everything we build.

Over the past years, Talk360 has grown into a global communications platform connecting more than 6 million people worldwide last year. We successfully spun off our payments arm into NjiaPay, stepped into the gap left by the discontinuation of Skype, and achieved profitable growth from 2025 onwards, marking our transition from early-stage scale-up to a disciplined, sustainable business.

As we continue to grow, we are expanding beyond our own B2C app. We are now launching our first embedded calling products within partner platforms, bringing Talk360’s technology into new ecosystems and enabling partners to offer international calling directly within their own products.

Our ambition is bold: to become the world’s most trusted way to call any real phone number — connecting migrants, travellers, professionals, and businesses across the globe.

Here’s what our users say:

“I like Talk360 because it saves me a lot of money. I used to call from Zimbabwe for 15 rands a minute. Talk360 came to the rescue. Now I can call my mother for hours.” — Google Play, South Africa

“Talk360 is a simple and reliable app for cheap international calls. It works even if the receiver has no internet, offers good call quality, and has transparent pricing.” — Google Play, United States

“It is a flawless experience with no hustles at all and the tariffs are more than just fair.” — Trustpilot, United Kingdom
