DevOps Engineer (freelancer)

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong OpenSearch/Elasticsearch expertise to support a project focused on upgrading and modernizing an existing OpenSearch environment. The main goal is to stabilize and optimize the current environment, prepare it for Kubernetes, automate deployments, and migrate OpenSearch to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working independently with infrastructure, automation and Kubernetes.

In this role you will

➡️ Optimization and stabilization of the cluster.

➡️ Preparing the architecture for Kubernetes.

➡️ Creating Helm Charts and automating deployments.

➡️ Migrating OpenSearch to AKS.

➡️ Documentation and knowledge transfer to the team.

Must have

➡️ Strong hands-on experience with OpenSearch and/or Elasticsearch.

➡️ Solid knowledge of OpenSearch administration, upgrades, troubleshooting and performance tuning.

➡️ Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch cluster migrations and upgrades.

➡️ Good knowledge of Kubernetes, preferably production experience.

➡️ Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or another managed Kubernetes platform.

➡️ Practical experience with Helm and creating Helm Charts.

➡️ Good knowledge of Ansible and configuration automation.

➡️ Experience with Docker.

➡️ Understanding of CI/CD and Git.

➡️ Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical tasks.
