Your Task

At the Telco Hub in Madrid, we are pioneers in merging IT and Telco, building and scaling Telco as a Platform (TaaP) on our proprietary layered cloud. Our teams operate in cross-country and cross-functional squads, delivering cutting-edge services to Europe's most valued Operator. The Tribe Data is responsible for a system landscape of central components of the fixed and mobile network, which encompasses a wide range of different systems and platforms. The T-DAT SDM Lifecycle Squad is responsible for the planning and operation of the central network databases (CNTDB) for all access networks (mobile, fixed-line, M2M), as well as HLR/HSS throughout their entire lifecycle, along with 5GC-relevant systems such as UDM & AUSF. This includes ensuring the stable operation of the SDM platform, as well as the deployment and piloting of the systems in a cloud environment. As part of this job posting, one Solution Designer is being sought for the SDM Lifecycle Squad. This position is based at the Telco Hub in Madrid.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end operation of the frontend systems in the 5G Core domain (UDM, AMF, SMF, NRF) as well as the 4G Core (HSS and DRA) in a cloud environment
• Monitoring of frontend systems in the 5G/4G Core domain with Kibana and Grafana
• Incident resolution and support for problem management
• Checking the cloud cluster status using kubectl and k9s
• Adjusting configurations using GitOps, including change management
• Protocol-level tracing using NetScout and Wireshark

Your Profile

We are seeking a Solution Designer for the SDM Lifecycle Squad with deep expertise in 5G Core network systems, cloud-based infrastructure, and telecommunications platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills in Kubernetes-based environments, monitoring tools, and network protocol analysis.

Must Have Skills

• In-depth knowledge and experience in 5G Core (UDM, AMF, SMF, NRF)
• Confident use of kubectl
• Confident use of k9s
• Confident use of Kibana
• Confident use of Grafana
• Confident use of GitOps
• Confident use of Netscout
• Confident use of Wireshark
• Experience in YAML
• Experience in JSON
• Experience in classic forms of cooperation
• Experience in agile forms of cooperation
• Basic willingness to take on on-call duty after thorough training

Nice to Have Skills

• Basic knowledge of 4G Core (HSS, DRA)
