Your responsibilities:
As a Software Engineer you will develop software for various machinery in industries such as printing and textile. You will be working with wide range of different technology on both existing and new products. Your responsibilities will include:
- Technical feasibility check, clarification of content and definition for projects in coordination with other specialist departments, including checking requirement specifications and creating functional specifications.
- Design and development of control systems (PLCs) as well as related software and business applications, including user interfaces and HMIs.
- Responsibility for complete project execution, which includes, but is not limited to:
system design, programming, testing, documentation, vendor/contractor. management, hardware/software procurement, installation and start-up support (primarily in the factory, rarely worldwide, often remote).
- Development solutions taking into account functional, technological, safety and economic aspects.
- Documentation and presentation of work results.
- Troubleshooting issues and providing technical support for technicians and customers.
Your qualifications:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied in design, programming, and troubleshooting of machinery
- A self-starter with a can-do attitude and an ability to easily pick up new technologies
- Function well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- High social skills, strong communication and teamwork skills as well as organizational talent
- High level of commitment, reliability, independence, flexibility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (working language is English).
- Professional experience in special machine construction and/or plant engineering;
Experience with machines for spraying paper and/or textile materials would be desirable
- Experience and knowledge
- in the creation of PLC application software (Rockwell and B+R)
- in the project planning and commissioning of automation systems
- in the field of communication protocols (OPC UA, fieldbuses)
- Desirable:
- PC programming (Windows, Linux, C#, C/C++, SQL, web-based programming)
- Digitalization competencies (IoT, MES and SCADA systems)
- Experience with AI platforms
- Experience in the field of version control (Git)
- Experience in embedded software (RTOS)
- Located within easy reach of Malmö or be willing to relocate to Malmö, Sweden.
Your education
Successfully completed engineering studies (diploma, bachelor's, master's) in the field of electrical engineering / information technology
