Job description
Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation (NSHD) is one of the leading companies in the industrial and medical gases business. We have a diversified involvement in broad industries such as healthcare, food, manufacturing, metallurgy, chemical products, electronics and energy.
The Operations Packaged Gases (PAG) Intern will be based in Madrid, European Headquarters, and will be part of the PAG team, reporting to the PAG, Specialty Gases & Dry Ice European Production Director.
Main Responsibilities
The selected intern will support strategic projects, strategic tools and automations being a link of packaged gases projects with IT and Digitalization Department.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting the implementation of new plant automation projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, safety, and reliability.
Contributing to the development and enhancement of production planning and scheduling tools to optimize manufacturing processes.
Identifying and supporting automation, digitalization, and data-driven improvement opportunities within the operations environment.
Collaborating with PAG team members on strategic and operational projects across the department.
Acting as a key interface between Operations, IT, and Digitalization teams to support the successful delivery of technology-driven initiatives.
Assisting in process analysis, performance monitoring, and the implementation of innovative solutions to improve plant operations.
Job requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Engineering degree in chemical engineering, industrial engineering or related field.
AI and digital productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar)
Fluent English. Other European languages would be a plus.
Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
No prior professional experience required, although academic projects or internships in analytics or data‑related roles will be valued.
