The Opportunity
ANKH Executive is commencing confidential early market engagement for a series of senior sales and account management appointments within the Lending business of a globally recognised financial technology organisation.
The anticipated appointments cover defined territories across the Middle East and Africa. Depending on the position, the commercial emphasis will be new-logo acquisition, strategic development of an existing client portfolio, or a combination of both.
These are senior individual contributor roles for experienced banking technology professionals able to operate credibly with Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks, originate or expand complex opportunities and maintain disciplined quarter-by-quarter commercial execution.
Why This Role Matters
Banks across MEA continue to modernise lending journeys, origination, decisioning, servicing, risk management and customer experience across consumer, commercial and corporate portfolios.
The successful professionals will sit at the centre of strategic banking relationships and complex enterprise sales cycles, connecting client priorities with an established portfolio of end-to-end lending solutions.
The Mandate
Role-specific scope will vary, but the appointments are expected to include the following responsibilities:
- Develop and execute territory, account and opportunity plans aligned to agreed revenue objectives
- Originate and close new-logo opportunities and/or expand established client relationships, according to the designated commercial mandate
- Own complex enterprise sales cycles from opportunity creation and qualification through RFI/RFP, solution positioning, negotiation and contract signature
- Build trusted relationships with C-level executives, business heads, technology leaders, procurement teams and other senior stakeholders within banks and financial institutions
- Identify add-on, cross-sell, renewal and strategic expansion opportunities within assigned accounts
- Partner with Presales, Product, Professional Services, Delivery, Legal and Commercial teams to shape credible client solutions and executable proposals
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, CRM discipline, account health reporting and commercial governance
- Represent the organisation at relevant banking, lending and financial technology forums across the assigned markets
The Profile Sought
- 10+ years of enterprise sales, account management or commercial client leadership experience within banking software, financial technology, SaaS or financial services solutions
- Direct experience selling or managing complex solutions for banks and regulated financial institutions
- Strong knowledge of one or more lending domains, including loan origination, digital lending, consumer or commercial lending, trade finance or supply chain finance
- A demonstrable record of new-logo acquisition, strategic account growth or both, aligned to the relevant role
- Evidence of navigating long-cycle, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals and delivering against quota, revenue or account growth expectations
- Established senior banking relationships and market credibility within the relevant territory
- Ability to work autonomously while coordinating effectively across international and cross-functional teams
- English is mandatory. French is mandatory for the Francophone North Africa, Libya and Iraq role. Arabic is a strong advantage for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Other relevant market languages are valued.
- Ability to be based in the applicable hiring location and travel regularly across the assigned markets
Relevant Technology & Industry Exposure
Relevant experience may have been gained with enterprise lending, banking software or adjacent financial technology providers such as Finastra, Temenos, Oracle, Mambu, nCino, Nucleus Software, TurnKey Lender, FIS, Fiserv, Q2, SAP, Tuum, Backbase, Sopra Banking Software, TCS BaNCS, Infosys Finacle, Intellect Design Arena, EdgeVerve or comparable providers serving banks and regulated financial institutions.
Key Considerations
- The client and exact reporting lines will be disclosed only to shortlisted candidates following an initial discussion and NDA.
- Final role titles, compensation structures and certain hiring locations are being confirmed. Candidates may nevertheless be assessed immediately against the relevant commercial and territorial mandate.
- This is an experienced enterprise commercial search and not a junior business development or delivery track.
