Product Owner (m/f/d)
In Germany - Berlin We are seeking an experienced Product Owner (m/f/d) ready to shape and drive the evolution of our next-generation pricing solutions. In this role, you will translate complex business challenges into clear product requirements and scalable features within our SaaS applications. You will own the end-to-end development and release lifecycle — from discovery and problem statements to backlog refinement and post-release validation — ensuring that what we build delivers measurable value to our clients.

And Simon-Kucher Engine’s digital end-to-end solutions deliver sustained top-line impact for our clients. Are you interested in working in a team of digital evangelists with a can-do attitude? Want to experience the dynamics of agile processes in open-minded teams? How about getting creative in a startup atmosphere with a steep development curve and flat hierarchies? And most importantly, do you want to make a difference? Then you've come to the right place.
What makes us special:
- Advance your career with exciting professional opportunities in our thriving company with a startup feel
- Add to your experience with our projects that focus on growth, have a positive impact, and truly matter
- Voice your unique ideas in a corporate culture defined by our entrepreneurial spirit, openness, and integrity
- Feel at home working with our helpful, enthusiastic colleagues who have great team spirit
- Broaden your perspective with our extensive training curriculum and learning programs (e.g. LinkedIn Learning)
- Speak your mind in our holistic feedback and development processes (e.g. 360-degree feedback)
- Satisfy your need for adventure with our opportunities to live and work abroad in one of our many international offices
- Enjoy our benefits, such as hybrid working, daycare allowance, corporate discounts, and wellbeing support (e.g. Headspace)
- Unwind in our break areas where you can help yourself to the healthy snacks and beverages provided
- See another side of your coworkers at our frequent employee events and highly anticipated World Meeting and Holiday Party
How you will create an impact:
- Translate complex business needs into executable specifications (including epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, etc.). Consider product strategy alignment as well as technical constraints during specification, and ensure that they are clearly understood by relevant teams.
- Define clear sprint / release goals in alignment with product manager and set clear expectations across all relevant teams for delivery of new functionalities.
- Own the operational delivery process to ensure maximum value creation in each sprint. Work closely with development team to mitigate roadblocks, provide clarifications, and facilitate collaborations to achieve defined sprint / release goals.
- Review and accept completed work, ensuring it meets the defined acceptance criteria and overall quality standards.
- Own non-technical release coordination, orchestrate all related teams including engineering, operations, delivery, and support to ensure successful and smooth release process.
- Curate documentation of the product, including technical documentation, user manual, release notes as well as marketing collateral.
- Continuously improving product and process quality, leveraging usage data, client feedback, and market insights to refine requirements, enhance user experience, and identify new opportunities for value creation.
About you:
- You hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, data science or analytics or a related subject.
- You are eager to learn about the latest technology trends and digital topics, such as cloud technologies, app development, and AI concepts, and you do not shy away from trying out new technologies yourself.
- You are confident in working in agile environments (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and understand how to translate strategy into structured backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria while monitoring delivery centric KPIs.
- You are skilled at breaking down complex business challenges into clear, testable requirements and prioritizing them based on value, feasibility, and dependencies.
- Keen problem-solving and creative skills to translate business needs into digital solutions
- You bring strong stakeholder management and communication skills, enabling you to align consultants, clients, and technical teams toward a common objective.
- You have a solid technical knowledge to be able to understand and discuss Software Engineering problems.
- You are fluent in English (proficiency in additional languages, especially German, is a strong advantage).
