We are seeking a passionate Associate Director, Global Medical Writing to join our growing organization. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development of high-quality scientific publications supporting Ascendis' clinical development programs within endocrinology. You will collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams, external investigators, and key opinion leaders to ensure timely delivery of manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations that accurately communicate clinical trial outcomes.

You will be joining the Global Medical Writing team and collaborate with colleagues across Clinical Development, Biostatistics, Medical Affairs, and Publication Planning.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Draft, revise, and edit scientific publications, including manuscripts, abstracts, conference posters, and oral presentations.
- Partner with Publication Planning and external investigators to develop publication strategies, timelines, and publication plans.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure scientific accuracy, clarity, compliance, and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Lead publication review and revision processes with investigators, authors, and key opinion leaders to ensure timely publication delivery.
- Conduct literature reviews and interpret clinical data, protocols, study reports, and scientific information to support high-quality scientific communications.
Qualifications and Skills
You hold a relevant academic degree, preferably a master’s degree or PhD, and have significant experience within scientific and medical writing. Furthermore, you have:
- 8+ years of experience developing scientific publications within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry. Please note that regulatory writing experience does not apply; this role is specific to scientific publications (peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and podium presentations).
- Solid understanding of publication regulations, requirements, and industry guidance, including ICMJE and Good Publication Practice (GPP) guidelines.
- Ability to independently interpret clinical data and develop publications directly from study reports, protocols, and data outputs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience within endocrinology and/or rare disease is considered an advantage but is not required.
- CMPP certification is an asset.

Travel: 10-20 days per year.
