About Meela
At Meela, we’re on a mission to make it easier to find the right mental health support, starting with matching people to the therapist that’s the best fit for them. Since launching, we’ve helped over 100,000 people across Sweden and the UK, and we’re just getting started. We’re backed by leading VCs and were recently named as 26th fastest growing startup in the Nordics by Sifted.
Our founder Tiffany was named Female Founder of the Year in 2024. But what we’re most proud of is the feedback we get from users: “I finally found someone who gets me.”
About the role
We are looking for a passionate Full Stack Developer to join our team of 5 to help build the next stages of the Meela platform. You'll be working on features that directly affect how users find and connect with their ideal therapist - from onboarding flows to therapist matching logic and ongoing communication tools. Your work will directly shape the user experience for both clients and therapists.
This is a hybrid role that is based out of our Stockholm office.
What you’ll be doing
- Building modern, user-friendly frontend features with TypeScript and Solid.js
- Developing robust backend services in Rust and shaping how our systems evolve
- Collaborating closely with product and design to deliver experiences users love
- Contributing to technical decisions that guide our overall architecture (we welcome all idea and voices!)
- Troubleshooting issues, fixing bugs, and optimising performance when needed
- Stepping into different parts of the stack when required - startup life keeps things varied!
What we're looking for
- An experienced full-stack developer with a genuine interest in mental health and building tech that makes a difference
- Comfortable (and happy) working both backend and frontend
- Experience working with Rust (in work or personal projects)
- Good understanding of relational databases and SQL (we use Postgres)
- Strong background in TypeScript, ideally with some exposure to frameworks like Solid.js
- Familiarity with GraphQL or enthusiasm to pick it up quickly
- Someone who thrives in a fast-moving, iterative environment
- A problem-solver who can work independently but enjoys collaborating with others
- Clear communicator who enjoys collaboration and shared ownership
- Motivated by impact and purpose – not just code
