DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced Post Production Specialist to join the Amazon MGM Studios EUX International Originals Post Production team. You will oversee the full post-production lifecycle, primarily across our Netherlands scripted and unscripted slate, with additional support to Nordic and expansion territories.
Working with Post Production Executives and the Head of Post Production, you will help manage budgets, schedules, vendor relationships, and delivery workflows from development through final archive, ensuring each title meets the highest technical and creative standards on time and on budget.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as the primary post-production owner for the Netherlands slate (scripted unscripted series and movies)
- Manage the full post-production lifecycle including reviewing budgets. offline/online editorial, color grade, VFX, sound mix, music, and final mastering.
- Keep track of Post Milestone Calendars (PMCs), flagging risks and delays to stakeholders
- Review, vet, and approve post-production budgets and vendor bids for assigned titles
- Approve camera specifications, editorial workflows, delivery formats, and archival plans in alignment with Amazon Studios technical requirements
- Approve key post-production crew hires (editors, colorists, sound designers) alongside production companies
- Lead post-production kick-off meetings with external production partners, introducing Amazon Studios guidelines and delivery requirements
- Research and establish relationships with post-production vendors (editorial houses, color facilities, audio studios, VFX vendors)
- Act as liaison between internal teams (Creative, Production, Localization, Legal, Distribution, Finance, Technology, etc) and external production partners on anything related to post.
- Coordinate with Localization to ensure episodic SLA timelines are met for deliverables
- Onboard new external partners by providing necessary documentation, platform access (Backlot, Flow Capture, Aspera, Box), and guidance on Amazon requirements
- Ensure all vendors and partners comply with Amazon Studios Content Security requirements
- Travel to post-production facilities as needed to evaluate workflow, quality, and potential challenges
- Identify workflow improvements and propose process optimisations to drive efficiency across future projects
- Manage cross-departmental meetings with Studio teams, production companies, and post facilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across EMEA and the US, which may occasionally require flexibility to support US time zone meetings BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in post-production for scripted, unscripted television, and/or feature films at a network, studio, or production company
- Experience managing post-production budgets, schedules, and delivery timelines across multiple projects
- Experience working with external post-production vendors and production companies
- Familiarity with cameras, editorial and post softwares and delivery technologies
- Experience with the end-to-end post-production process from editorial through final delivery and archive
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working at a TV Network, broadcaster, or an online streaming platform, specializing in digital video delivery or streaming media technologies
- Experience streamlining video post-production workflows for high volume output
- Experience managing projects and working independently
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience working across multiple territories or languages simultaneously
- Familiarity with Amazon Studios delivery requirements, platforms, and technical specifications
- Experience with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos workflows
- Experience with cloud-based post-production workflows and remote collaboration tools
- Established network within the Dutch post-production community is a strong advantage
- Proficiency with post-production scheduling and tracking tools (e.g., Movie Magic, Airtable, spreadsheets)
- Experience collaborating across multiple territories and time zones
