Full time Master, PhD Eindhoven At Sioux Technologies, cybersecurity is rapidly becoming a core engineering discipline. Rather than treating security as an afterthought, we help our customers design cyber-resilient products from the earliest system concepts onward.
In this role you are responsible for designing secure, resilient high-tech systems that comply with the latest European cybersecurity legislation and international security standards, such as CRA, Machine Regulation, NIS2 and IEC 62443.
You work on complex multidisciplinary products in the semiconductor, medical, analytical instrumentation and industrial automation domains, where software, electronics, mechanics and mechatronics come together. What excites you as a System Security Architect – High-Tech Systems?
From any Sioux office in the Netherlands, you work closely with system architects, software architects, electronics engineers, mechatronics designers and cybersecurity specialists, you ensure that cybersecurity becomes an integral part of system design from concept through validation and product lifecycle.
You enjoy:
- Defining secure system architectures for complex high-tech equipment.
- Translating the Cyber Resilience Act, IEC 62443 and other related regulations and standards into practical system requirements.
- Performing system-level cybersecurity risk analyses and leading Threat Analysis & Risk Assessment (TARA) and threat modelling workshops.
- Allocating security requirements across software, electronics, mechanics and infrastructure.
- Designing secure operational concepts, maintenance strategies and software update mechanisms.
- Defining cybersecurity requirements for suppliers and subsystem partners and supporting certification and compliance activities
- Working together with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the complete product development lifecycle.

This is what you bring to the table
You combine systems engineering with cybersecurity expertise, helping our customers translate business, operational and regulatory requirements into secure system architectures.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- MSc or PhD in Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience developing complex multidisciplinary high-tech systems, preferably in the semiconductor, medical, analytical instrumentation and industrial automation domain.
- Several years of experience as System Architect, Lead System Engineer or Principal Design Engineer.
- Experience integrating software, electronics and mechatronics into complete products.
- Proven experience implementing one or more of the mentioned security standards and cybersecurity risk assessments.
- Experience translating customer and regulatory requirements into system specifications.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to coach multidisciplinary engineering teams. This is what you can expect in return from Sioux
