In this position you will….

Manage our end-to-end accounts payable process by taking ownership of the full Accounts Payable lifecycle - from vendor bill processing through payments and reconciliations - ensuring our vendors are paid accurately, on time, and our financial records stay audit-ready.

Your ownership areas and core responsibilities

• Process incoming bills and link them to purchase orders; maintain and verify accurate vendor master data.
• Prepare and execute weekly and ad-hoc payments via wire transfer, ensuring invoices are paid on time and penalties are avoided.
• Book bank statements (EUR, USD, GBP) for the Accounts Payable bank accounts and own the monthly bank reconciliation.
• Book monthly GL cost accruals based on your own cost analysis, and monthly prepayments; reconcile Accounts Payable transactions and related balance sheet accounts.
• Manage the billing mailbox and handle vendor communication about bills and payments.
• Provide reports and documentation to support month-end and year-end closing.

Who we'd like to meet

• A structured person, you take ownership and you don't just "manage" tasks; you take responsibility for the financial accuracy of our payables
• You have a relevant accounting degree, such as MBO Financiële beroepen / Bedrijfsadministratie (niveau 4) or HBO Accountancy
• You have a strong knowledge of excel and ERP systems (preferably Oracle NetSuite)
• An experience level of 3 years of experience in a similar role as Accounts Payable specialist with GL responsibilities
• Excellent verbal and writing skills in English and preferably Dutch
