Castle Group is a leading modular construction company delivering innovative, high-quality building solutions across Ireland and Europe. We're currently mobilising our team for the FRD2A project in Fredericia, Denmark, and are looking for an experienced Banksman to join us on-site.
Role Overview
The Banksman will play a key role in supporting safe plant and vehicle movements on site, working closely with the site management team, plant operators, and subcontractors to ensure all lifting, loading, reversing and traffic movements are carried out safely and in line with project requirements.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Directing and signalling the safe movement, reversing and positioning of vehicles, plant and machinery on site.
- Assisting with crane lifts and slinging operations in accordance with site procedures and safety standards.
- Maintaining clear and constant communication with plant operators, drivers and site personnel.
- Enforcing site traffic management plans and pedestrian/vehicle segregation.
- Carrying out pre-use checks and reporting any hazards, defects or unsafe conditions.
- Ensuring compliance with site rules, method statements, risk assessments and health & safety procedures.
- Supporting the site team with general banking duties during deliveries, lifts and material movements.
- Attending site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings as required.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience working as a Banksman on construction or modular building sites.
- Valid Banksman/Slinger certification (e.g. CPCS, NPORS or equivalent).
- Valid Safe Pass card.
- Strong communication skills and a sound understanding of site safety procedures.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced site environment.
- Eligibility to work in Denmark for the duration of the assignment.
