SAP FICO BRIM Consultant

We're looking for a SAP FICO BRIM Consultant to join our team in Spain in a remote working mode. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert in Settlement Management, FI/CO processes, Legal Licensing and Intercompany (ICO) Royalty Management, ensuring the design, implementation and continuous improvement of royalty solutions within a highly regulated financial environment. You will support business-critical processes such as royalty settlements, period-end closures, tax compliance and operational reporting.

This position requires deep functional expertise in SAP FI, CO, Settlement Management and BI reporting combined with technical capabilities, enabling you to optimize system functionality, maintain compliance and ensure smooth quarterly close operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and define business requirements and system architecture for Royalty Management solutions
• Design and configure Settlement Management for 3rd Party Licensing and ICO Royalty processes
• Support legal licensing and intercompany royalty settlements, including validation and business alignment
• Implement operational reporting solutions using ABAP customizations or SAP BI (BW extractions)
• Perform regular data quality checks for integration with BW, CO-PA and custom reporting tools
• Support quarter-end closing activities for ICO Royalty, including on-call availability as required
• Manage incident resolution, service requests and problem management activities
• Drive automation and continuous system improvements, ensuring compliance with audit controls (SOX)
• Deliver solution documentation, monitor system provisioning and execute administration tasks
• Collaborate with finance teams, technical teams and auditors to ensure operational excellence and compliance

Requirements

• Proven expertise in SAP FI (GL, AR, AP) and SAP CO (PCA, CCA, COPA)
• Experience in SAP FICA (both AR and AP processes)
• Strong knowledge of taxation workflows including input/output tax and extended withholding tax
• Experience with Intercompany business processes and ICO royalty settlements
• Advanced functional/technical experience in SAP Settlement Management
• Knowledge of SAP SD for revenue and licensing-related configurations
• Advanced experience with SAP BI (BW extraction) and reporting integration
• Understanding of BRIM process flow (SOM through CC to CI/FICA)
• ABAP debugging and ability to work in a techno-functional environment
• Strong familiarity with compliance and audit requirements (SOX)

Nice to have

• Experience with automation tools, custom reporting frameworks and data governance
• Knowledge of performance optimization and system tuning for finance operational processes
• Exposure to global royalty management cycles in media, IP or licensing-intensive industries
