EFL Teacher – Permanent Position in Castelldefels

Janet’s School of English is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable EFL teacher to join our team in September 2026.

We are an established language school located in Castelldefels, just a five-minute walk from the train station and approximately 25 minutes south of Barcelona.

What we offer

• A permanent employment contract (contrato indefinido).
• Between 20 and 24.5 teaching hours per week, depending on experience and availability.
• Consecutive teaching hours, mainly in the afternoons and evenings.
• A gross monthly salary of €1,360–€1,764, depending on weekly hours and experience.
• The possibility of taking on additional private or company classes.
• Carefully selected coursebooks and teaching resources, with plenty of scope for teachers to contribute their own ideas and materials.
• Ongoing support and a monthly professional development workshop.

The role

You will teach young learners, teenagers and adults across a range of levels, using a dynamic and communicative approach.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons.
• Managing the classroom and providing constructive feedback.
• Setting weekly homework for all groups.
• Keeping attendance records and updating records of work on our online platform.
• Writing termly reports for young learners and teenagers, twice-yearly reports for adults, and one report for summer intensive courses.
• Maintaining high standards of reliability and punctuality.

Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in English.
• A recognised English teaching qualification, such as CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, TEFL, DELTA or equivalent.
• Legal authorisation to work in Spain.
• Experience teaching young learners, teenagers and adults.
• A valid certificate allowing you to work with minors in Spain, or willingness to obtain one.

Experience preparing students for Cambridge English Qualifications would be an advantage.
