Department of Materials and Production (MP) is a wide-ranging research and educational environment at Aalborg University. The Department's mission is to meet the future's demands for new materials and production systems by directing the whole value chain from basic material understanding to materials' applications in mechanical construction, industrial production, and management. The department has several strong, international, and innovative research groups, which comprise everything from basic science to strategic and applicable research. The activities encompass research and education within materials, mechanics, physics, production techniques, industrial management and innovation. Benefitting the industry and additional collaborators, several innovative and unconventional collaborations have been developed through interdisciplinary cooperation. Thereby, as an employee at the Department, you will become a part of an international research environment where the focus is on innovation, knowledge sharing/building, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
Your work tasks
The position is a part-time external lecturer. Teaching will primarily be in Organization Design for Operations Development at the M.Sc. program Management Engineering. This includes knowledge on, e.g., various perspectives and theories that inform the design, formation and functioning of the contemporary extended enterprises; the principles of business process engineering and value engineering, and the mechanisms of strategy, organization design and effectiveness.

Qualification requirements
Appointment as a part-time lecturer requires academic qualifications at master’s degree level.
Employment as a part-time lecturer requires either relevant practical experience at a high level which has not been achieved through an academic appointment at a university or employment in an principal academic position at another university. When employed due to relevant practical experience, you must have in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of the subject/subject's applications that has been gained or will be gained through employment in the profession. Teaching qualifications are included in the assessment of applicants for a part-time lectureship.

You will join the Sustainable Operations and Innovation Management (SOIM) research group at the Department of Materials and Production, Aalborg University. SOIM brings together researchers with expertise in sustainable production, operations management, innovation, digitalisation, and industrial transformation. The group is characterised by a collaborative and supportive culture, where knowledge sharing, interdisciplinary dialogue, and close engagement with industry are highly valued. As an external lecturer, you will become part of an academic environment that is committed to delivering high-quality education and creating impact through research and collaboration with external stakeholders

Salary and terms of employment
The employment is in accordance with the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Universities (the Appointment Order) and the Ministerial Order on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities (in Danish) and agreement on part-time lecturers and teaching assistants at universities etc. under Ministry of Higher Education and Science (in Danish).
There is a mutual probationary period of 3 months for the position.
