We are looking for a licensed veterinarian with a few years of professional experience who wants to become part of our team and work broadly within small animal practice. AniCura Kumla Animal Hospital is part of Area North, which includes animal hospitals and clinics across fourteen locations. The hospital consists of the Emergency Department, Inpatient Care Ward, Surgery Department, Outpatient Clinic, Rehabilitation Department, as well as support functions including Telephone Services and Reception.
My name is Jens Berisson, and I work as the Hospital Director here at AniCura Kumla Animal Hospital. We are now looking to strengthen our fantastic team and are seeking a licensed veterinarian who is passionate about animal healthcare and wants to continue developing the hospital together with us.
About the Role
This role is ideal for someone who appreciates that no two days are the same. Your primary focus will be tailored to your experience and interests, but we would like you to be comfortable working across different areas of the hospital.
Examples of responsibilities include:
- Outpatient consultations and medical workups.
- Care of hospitalized patients in the inpatient ward.
- Emergency patients and emergency medicine.
- Surgery and perioperative care.
- On-call and evening shifts.
- More advanced cases based on your competence and experience.
Who Are You?
We believe you are a veterinarian who:
- Is a licensed veterinarian with several years of clinical experience.
- Is confident in your professional role and able to work independently.
- Has experience from multiple areas of small animal practice, such as outpatient care, inpatient care, emergency medicine, and/or surgery.
- Enjoys a varied caseload and is motivated to broaden your clinical expertise.
- Is confident in making clinical decisions and prioritizing when required.
- Has a genuine interest in high-quality patient care and professional communication with pet owners.
- Is a team player who enjoys collaborating with skilled and dedicated colleagues.
- Is curious and wants to continue developing professionally, whether by deepening expertise in a specific area or maintaining a broad clinical role.
- Is fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Experience in emergency medicine, surgery, or a specialist qualification in canine and feline medicine is considered an advantage.
