Your profile and background
Experience & Skills* A Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in a legal, technical or commercial discipline.
- Approximately 5 to 8 years of experience in Contract Management, Claim Management or a comparable role involving contract and claim administration.
- Solid knowledge of FIDIC contracts, preferably including the Silver Book.
- Proven experience in contract and/or claims management on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects, with a solid understanding of contracts, variations, delay, disruption, and entitlement assessment.
- Experience across the full project lifecycle, from procurement through execution and commissioning.
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to assess contractual and commercial risks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Willingness to travel internationally when required, both within Europe and occasionally beyond. (Indicative one week every two months). The team comes together a couple of days a week at Arnhem Rijnpoort. This role falls within the Supply Chain Management Specialist job profile, ensuring clarity for both you and TenneT regarding the responsibilities, expectations and growth opportunities associated with the position.
Your contribution to TenneT
As a Contract & Claim Manager, you are responsible for managing contractual and commercial risks within complex offshore projects, ensuring that the Netherlands can continue to rely on reliable, affordable and sustainable energy.
Your Responsibilities* Manage and administer contractual and claims matters throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring contractual compliance, timely identification of risks, and effective preparation, substantiation, and resolution of claims.
- You co-develop and implement claim management strategies, ensuring that TenneT’s contractual and commercial exposure is minimized while maintaining constructive relationships with contractors.
- You prepare, assess and negotiate variation orders and claims with contractors, ensuring that contractual changes are appropriately managed and documented.
- You establish and maintain robust claim files, registers and contractual correspondence, ensuring that decisions are well substantiated and defensible.
- You enhance contract and claim management awareness within project teams and collaborate closely with Project Management, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Legal, Asset Management and contractors to achieve successful project outcomes.
You will operate within TenneT’s Offshore organization, consisting of nearly 700 professionals. The role is part of the GE Seatrium Portfolio department of approximately 60 colleagues within Project Delivery. You will work closely with two fellow Contract Managers and interact with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. While contractual compliance is essential, long-term partnerships remain at the heart of the approach. By fostering transparency, constructive dialogue and mutual understanding, you help prevent disputes and contribute to sustainable collaboration with contractors.

This will be our challenge
Offshore is responsible for the development, construction, and management of the offshore electricity grid. With the North Sea as the green engine of the energy transition, Offshore plays a clear and vital role within TenneT’s organisational structure.
The Offshore division manages the entire lifecycle of all TenneT offshore installations, from development and realisation to maintenance and handover to the Operate division. A crucial task is the construction of 2 GW offshore ‘sockets’, which collect and transport generated wind energy to the mainland.

We offer you:* A permanent contract with a two-month probation period, based on 40 hours per week.
- A salary in scale 9: €4.816 - €9.472,- gross per month.
- 43 vacation days per year.
