Rotational Captain – Oyster 885 - Pacific - Open to Couples

An Oyster 885 is seeking an experienced Captain to join a busy and well-established private program from mid-November.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an active owner program with an exciting world cruising itinerary ahead. The yacht is currently in Norway, before heading south to the UK for a two-month refit at Oyster. This provides an ideal opportunity for the successful candidate to become familiar with the yacht before departing for the Caribbean, through the Panama Canal, into the Pacific and beyond.

The owners spend approximately six months of the year onboard and are passionate sailors who enjoy being involved in the day-to-day operation of the yacht. They are looking for a Captain who is organised, communicates openly and enjoys working with an engaged owner. Strong planning and attention to detail are essential, as the program is well scheduled and planned well in advance.

The ideal candidate will have previous command experience on similar-sized sailing yachts and enjoy leading a close-knit crew while maintaining the yacht to a high standard. This is a professional but relaxed environment with owners who genuinely value their crew and reward longevity. The rotation is currently 2:2, although there may be some flexibility to 10:10 during the Pacific itinerary. All crew onboard are on rotation.

This role could also be for a couple, as a Captain & Chef team.

The package includes an annual review, performance bonus, and one training course per year that benefits both the crew member and the yacht.

Qualifications required: Previous command experience on similar or larger sailing yachts
