Responsibilities

Tax Determination

Analyze business requirements and design automated tax determination logic within SAP S/4HANA using condition technique

Cross-Module Integration

Integrate tax requirements across SD, MM, and FI to ensure consistent tax treatment throughout the supply chain

Tax Engine Management

Configure and maintain interfaces between SAP and external tax engines such as ONESOURCE or Sovos for real-time rate calculations

Digital Reporting

Support the technical setup of local statutory requirements, including real-time reporting and SAF-T

Requirements Translation

Act as the primary liaison between business and IT, translating complex tax laws into clear functional specifications

End-to-End Testing

Lead unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing for tax-related changes

Risk Mitigation

Resolve complex tax issues, including incorrect tax calculations in high-volume environments and failed e-invoice submissions

Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or an equivalent field

SAP FICO Experience

8+ years of SAP FICO implementation experience, including at least 2 full life-cycle implementations and FI integration with CO, SD, and MM

SAP Tax Knowledge

Strong SAP FICO knowledge with a focus on Tax and statutory requirements in Germany and EU countries

Indirect Tax

Expert knowledge of SAP Indirect Tax, including VAT/GST, with knowledge of SAP DRC

ABAP Debugging

ABAP debugging skills to troubleshoot complex tax calculation and interface issues

Communication & Problem Solving

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions

Languages

Fluency in written and spoken English is required, with good German preferred
