About the role
As a Line Technician, you will play an important role in keeping our manufacturing operations running safely, reliably, and efficiently. Working closely with colleagues across Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance, you will provide first-line technical support to production teams, helping to maximise equipment performance and minimise downtime.
This is a hands-on role where you will contribute to preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational excellence. Your work will directly support product quality, production efficiency, and a safe working environment for everyone on site.
How you will contribute
- Provide first-line technical support to production teams, helping to maintain high equipment availability and minimise downtime.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, routine inspections, basic repairs, equipment adjustments, and cleaning activities in line with maintenance plans and procedures.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic control system issues to support reliable production operations.
- Accurately record maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and technical information within maintenance management systems and other documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and production performance.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations, Engineering, contractors, and external suppliers to ensure work is completed safely and effectively.
- Monitor inventories of tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials to support uninterrupted operations.
- Share technical knowledge with operators and new team members, supporting onboarding and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Follow all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) requirements, including the use of appropriate PPE and the reporting of risks, incidents, or unsafe conditions.
- Support and supervise contractors working on site, ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety standards.
What you will bring
- An MBO qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, with relevant technical certifications considered an advantage.
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, or maintenance environment, including exposure to preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic PLC systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication skills, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken; familiarity with maintenance management systems (such as CMMS or SAP), Microsoft Office, and Dutch language skills are beneficial.
