By creating bearings and solutions for everything from industrial applications to vehicles, SKF plays an essential role in our everyday lives. In Q4 2026, SKF intends to spin off its Automotive business and list it as a separate company under the name of SKF Vertevo. A company created to support the future of the automotive market, and to co-drive the future of mobility faster.
This role will be a part of that new company. Would you like to join us, and move people further?
Senior Cloud DevSecOps Engineer
- SKF Automotive Business
We are building a new global Digital Engineering organization from the ground up - defining how software is developed, secured, and delivered across our global R&D community. This is a true greenfield opportunity. You will define how we build and operate our cloud-based DevSecOps platform from day one.
You will play a key role in owning the end-to-end journey from architecture to production for our cloud infrastructure. Working closely with our software and data engineering teams, you will enable the rapid delivery of secure solutions using the latest AI technologies. You will also drive DevSecOps best practices and help shape how we build cloud software in our new Automotive business.
If you enjoy hands-on engineering with the latest technologies, clear ownership and collaborating with passionate teams worldwide, you’ll feel right at home.
This is your chance to define and build a modern AI enabled DevSecOps and cloud infrastructure from the ground up. Join us to lead the way and empower our teams for success!
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain our global Azure cloud platform architecture for hosting web applications and services, establishing foundational structures and standards
- Ability to translate and implement software and data engineering needs into robust, scalable infrastructure capabilities
- Build and maintain AI driven processes for DevSecOps practices, CI/CD and automation workflows
- Drive security integration across the software delivery lifecycle
- Improve observability, reliability, and incident response capabilities
- Act as a technical strategist, making and driving key platform decisions
We expected you to have
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and be the change agent maximizing the potential of new AI technologies
- You have deep, hands-on experience building and running cloud infrastructure (Azure or Azure) using Infrastructure as Code
- You know how to build CI/CD pipelines with integrated security, and you think in terms of secure-by-design systems rather than bolt-on controls.
- You have a solid understanding of identity, access control, and modern security principles.
- You have hands on experience from the latest AI technologies.
- You are expert in services like GitHub Enterprise, Azure, Veracode etc
- You have deep understanding of full-stack software development
- You have strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills
We value engineers who design, build, secure, and operate what they deliver. If you prefer defining solutions without owning them in production, this role is likely not the right fit.
Why join us?
- Be part of a small, newly formed Digital Engineering team with a clear mandate to challenge how we work and to drive transformation globally.
- High degree of autonomy and opportunity to influence our technical direction, standards and tool landscape.
- Close collaboration with engineering, R&D and IT across the Automotive Business.
- The chance to design and implement digital tools that are used daily by engineers and developers around the world.
- An environment that encourages experimentation, learning and sharing of new ideas.
- Global collaboration and exposure to diverse cultures and perspectives.
- Hybrid ways of working, with flexibility to work both onsite and remotely.
