We are looking for an experienced 3rd Officer to join an offshore construction vessel operating out of Amsterdam. You will be part of a professional deck team, supporting safe navigation and offshore operations in a busy and challenging environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with safe navigation, watchkeeping and ship handling as per the bridge team’s instructions
- Carry out navigational watch and GMDSS/radio watch as assigned
- Prepare and update charts, publications and voyage plans
- Support deck operations, including cargo, lifting and offshore construction activities as required
- Participate in safety drills, inspections and permit-to-work routines
- Assist in maintaining safety and lifesaving equipment in good order
Requirements
- Valid STCW Officer of the Watch (OOW) CoC appropriate for the vessel
- Previous experience as 3rd Officer or OOW, preferably on offshore or construction vessels
- Valid STCW basic and advanced safety trainings and medical fitness certificate
- Good bridge watchkeeping and navigation skills, including ECDIS
- Good English communication skills, both spoken and written
- Strong safety attitude and ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew
