About the Role
Guydeez is looking for a Spanish-speaking Local Host based in or very familiar with Funchal, Portugal.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting international visitors, sharing local knowledge, and creating personalized experiences around the city.
You should be fluent in Spanish and comfortable communicating with Spanish-speaking guests.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome and accompany guests around Funchal for personalized city experiences
- Share interesting information about local culture, history, traditions, and daily life
- Adapt each experience to guests’ interests and preferences
- Recommend local attractions, restaurants, viewpoints, and cultural experiences
- Create a friendly, enjoyable, and memorable experience for guests
- Optionally participate in food and gastronomy-focused experiences
Who We’re Looking For
- Based in Funchal or very familiar with the city
- Fluent in Spanish — this is required
- Good knowledge of Funchal’s history, culture, attractions, and local lifestyle
- Friendly, outgoing, and confident when interacting with visitors
- Comfortable spending several hours walking around the city
- Passion for culture, gastronomy, history, or storytelling is a plus
- Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, customer service, or similar roles is helpful but not required
