Apply directly with the employer or job board. Applications are never handled here.
Grob Aircraft has been designing and building aircraft in Bavaria for decades - from trainers and composite airframes to some of the most advanced aeronautical structures in the world. Engineering excellence and precision manufacturing are what we do.
Together with Helsing, our mother company and Europe's leading defence AI company, we are now taking on our most ambitious programme yet: the CA-1 Europa, Europe's first AI combat aircraft. This is not a study or a roadmap. We are designing, building, and testing - right now, right here.
As a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer (m/f/x) , you will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity of the CA-1 Europa and our existing fleet. You will act as a key technical specialist, performing high-level stress and fatigue analyses on both metal and composite components.
The Day-to-Day:
- Own the Structure: Dive deep into stress and fatigue analyses for cutting-edge metal and composite designs -from first sketch to final flight.
- Lead the Charge: Orchestrate engineering milestones, align internal experts and external partners, and accelerate the journey from concept to certified aircraft.
- Connect the Dots: Be the voice that unites Design, Aerodynamics, and Manufacturing - turning complexity into clarity.
- Certify with Confidence: Deliver bulletproof CS-23 documentation and make the tough calls on production deviations that keep aircraft safe and airworthy.
You Should Apply If You:
- Hold a degree (Master’s or Bachelor's) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Have 5+ years of relevant experience in structural analysis within the aerospace industry, specifically regarding Stress and F&DT.
- Possess advanced proficiency in Altair HyperWorks (HyperMesh, OptiStruct, HyperView) and classical hand calculation methods.
- Have deep knowledge of CS-23 (or CS-25) certification specifications and experience preparing certification reports.
- Have experience with composite materials (CFRP) and metallic materials.
- Are capable of supervising projects and mentoring junior engineers or managing external suppliers.
- Possess excellent communication skills in English (C1+); knowledge of German is considered a strong asset.
Why join Grob Aircraft:
- A stable, permanent role building the future of air combat at an established and respected aircraft OEM.
- Unparalleled hands-on access: Work just meters away from the hardware, with direct involvement in prototype development, manufacturing, and flight line operations.
- See your work take flight: Experience the entire aircraft lifecycle, from design to flight testing, all at our integrated facility.
- Shape the future of air combat: Join a company renowned for world-class aircraft manufacturing as we integrate next-generation AI to define a new era of aerial technology.
