Are you a final-year Master's student in Finance looking for more than a traditional student job? Then this is a unique opportunity to step into a real Finance Business Partner role at Maersk, work closely with senior stakeholders, and gain hands-on experience in how finance drives business decisions in a global company.
In this part-time student position, you will join the Europe Region Ocean Finance team, where you will be the Student Finance Business Partner to the Ocean Surcharges and Value-Added Services (VAS) team. You will be the sparring partner to the Europe Head of Surcharges and VAS, and your key responsibility will be to bridge business and finance every day.

About you
We imagine that you are studying Finance or Accounting at a Master´s level at a Danish university and are ready to take your development to the next level. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is:

- Relationship builder : You love working with people and are service minded. You have excellent communication skills and enjoy working with different stakeholders with non-finance backgrounds.

It is a requirement that you are proficient in English both spoken and written and that you are able to work 15-20 hours per week from our office at Esplanaden 50, Copenhagen, with flexibility around exams. Please note this is a 8 months fixed term contract with an anticipated start date of 1st October.
It would be an advantage if:
- You have a strong academic track record, showing that you understand finance and that you are excellent at problem-solving.
- You have experience from other student jobs, showing that you understand what it takes to juggle your studies and a student job.
- You are proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
The role
Become a Student Assistant in the Finance Business Partnering team, where you translate financial insights into clear recommendations that will help the Ocean Surcharges and VAS team in achieving their financial targets. You will achieve this by:
- Performance management : Own the recurring reporting and turn financial data into insights that help stakeholders understand performance and make more informed decisions
- Problem solving : Analyse business challenges, identify root causes, and help shape recommendations based on financial and commercial insights.
- Business partnering : Work closely with stakeholders across finance and business, supporting ad hoc analysis and acting as a trusted sparring partner.
