Your profile and background
You are an independent professional who actively seeks collaboration and knows how to bring different interests together. A real team player. You build and maintain relationships easily with internal and external stakeholders and have the confidence to speak up when needed. You are able to able to influence stakeholder at multiple organizational levels, build strategic partnerships and create alignment among parties with different interests. When dealing with complex contractual and commercial matters, you provide independent judgement and help stakeholders reach effective solutions.
Experience & skills* You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical, legal or commercial field, with a strong interest in the other disciplines.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management, contract management, tender management or a similar field.
- Knowledge of the Transport & Installation of offshore platforms.
- Experience with complex projects, preferably in offshore Transport & Installation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the Netherlands and Europe for supplier meetings (approximately once per month, with occasional overnight stays).
- Availability to work from our Arnhem Rijnpoort office at least two days per week, including Mondays for team collaboration and one additional day to engage with portfolio teams and colleagues. Optimising Work Processes: You analyse contract processes and results, identify opportunities for improvement and drive improvements, so that inefficiencies are reduced and contract performance improves structurally. Organisational Awareness: You connect the interests of Project Delivery, Procurement, Category Management, Legal and international stakeholders and create support for contractual choices, so that improvements can be implemented effectively across the organisation. Persuading: You substantiate recommendations with relevant arguments, bring different interests together and influence stakeholders with different perspectives, so that parties reach well-supported solutions and agreements.
This role falls within the Supply Chain Management Specialist job profile, ensuring that both you and TenneT have a clear understanding of the responsibilities, expectations and growth opportunities associated with this position.
Your contribution to TenneT
How will you keep the Netherlands powered? As Contract Manager Transport & Installation, you are responsible for professionally managing and optimising framework contracts with T&I contractors, so that projects can achieve their objectives and TenneT maximises the value of its contracts. You will be part of the team Program Agreements within the division Project Delivery Offshore and Tennet’s 2GW offshore projects.
In this role you:
- Proactively manage the contractual obligations, risks and objectives of the contracts.
- Drive the resolution of complex contractual issues, align stakeholders on strategic priorities, and ensure timely decisions that safeguard project objectives and business value.
- Identify and lead strategic technical and commercial optimization initiatives that enhance contract performance, reduce risk, and maximize value across multiple projects.
- Act as a trusted advisor to project leadership, providing expert guidance on contractual strategy, risk management, and commercial decision-making.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with contractors and key subcontractors, influencing outcomes and fostering collaboration to achieve long-term program objectives.
- Provide strategic recommendations, insights, and executive-level reporting to support informed decision-making by senior management.
- Shape and influence the contract strategy for future offshore projects by leveraging market intelligence, lessons learned, and long-term business objectives.
- Strengthening contractual awareness and capability across the organization.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Project Delivery, Procurement, Category Management, Legal, and international stakeholders to align business objectives and enable effective contract execution.
You will join the Program Agreements team of eight, working closely with an experienced T&I Specialist to share expertise, strengthen knowledge and collaboration and further develop T&I contract management within the team.

This will be our challenge
Offshore is responsible for the development, construction, and management of the offshore electricity grid. With the North Sea as the green engine of the energy transition, Offshore plays a clear and vital role within TenneT’s organisational structure.
The Offshore division manages the entire lifecycle of all TenneT offshore installations, from development and realisation to maintenance and handover to the Operate division. A crucial task is the construction of 2 GW offshore ‘sockets’, which collect and transport generated wind energy to the mainland.

We offer you:* A permanent contract with a two-month probation period, based on 40 hours per week.
- A salary in scale 9: €4.816 - €9.472,- gross per month.
