- Handling end-to-end spot buying activities, from receiving purchasing requests through to the timely delivery of required goods and services.
- Preparing and managing RFQs, as well as reviewing and comparing supplier quotations to select the most competitive commercial offer.
- Negotiating prices, payment conditions and delivery terms with suppliers, with a focus on achieving cost efficiencies and maximizing business value.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers, including monitoring their responsiveness and service performance.
- Cooperating closely with internal stakeholders, including requestors, Finance, Logistics and Operations, to clarify purchasing needs and address procurement-related issues.
- Ensuring that purchasing activities are carried out in line with internal procurement policies, procedures and approved sourcing standards.
- Supporting sourcing and cost-saving initiatives through supplier benchmarking, market research and identification of potential procurement opportunities.
Requirements
- Around 2–3 years of professional experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Sourcing or Supply Chain, including practical exposure to RFQ/RFP processes and supplier cooperation.
- Fluent English and German at C1 level – essential for effective communication with clients and business partners.
- University degree.
- Good understanding of procurement and sourcing processes, including quotation assessment, supplier evaluation and purchase order management.
- Previous experience working with procurement and ERP solutions such as SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Oracle or similar systems.
- Well-developed analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to assess commercial offers, identify potential savings and make decisions based on data.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, enabling effective cooperation with internal teams, suppliers and other business functions.
