About the role. As an MRP & Production Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and production activities across our Appetizers sites in Rilland and Kruiningen. You will translate demand into achievable material and production plans, balancing capacity, material availability, and operational priorities to support efficient and reliable manufacturing operations.What you’ll be doing.* Execute and continuously improve the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging through effective purchase order management.
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively manage shortages, excess stock, and slow-moving inventory.
- Develop and maintain realistic production schedules aligned with demand, capacity, and material availability.
- Identify planning bottlenecks and deviations and drive corrective actions to resolve them.
- Manage supplier delivery performance and coordinate solutions when issues arise.
- Maintain planning data, master data, and system accuracy within ERP/SAP.
- Analyze planning performance and inventory trends to support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, and Supply Planning teams to ensure aligned execution.
What you’ll need to be successful.* Bachelor/HBO degree or equivalent working and thinking level, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
- Experience in material planning, production planning, supply chain, logistics, or a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Knowledge of planning processes such as MRP and production planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail.
- Proactive, reliable, and able to perform effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
About the team. You will be part of the Supply Chain Planning team supporting McCain Appetizers Europe. The team consists of MRP and Production Planners who work collaboratively across the Rilland and Kruiningen sites.
