We are now looking for a Product Owner to join our team in Gothenburg.
About the role
The purpose of the role is to serve as a Product Owner. This involves defining goals and creating a vision for the assigned area from a high-level perspective. The Product Owner is responsible for generating a backlog of items and prioritizing them in accordance with the overall strategy and business objectives established by the Product Manager.
To ensure that the product's vision, strategy, and priorities are aligned, the Product Owner should invest a significant amount of time in understanding the product and the value it delivers. Additionally, the Product Owner serves as the primary communicator and liaison between stakeholders and teams.
Main responsibilities
Prioritizing and managing the product backlog to ensure smooth development
Translating strategies devised by product managers into actionable tasks for development
Gaining insights into the market and customer requirements to enhance product quality
Acting as a liaison between product and development teams to ensure seamless communication
Being available to answer development team's queries and concerns
Providing an explanation of why the product is best and how it aligns with the overall product strategy
Attending Feature & Planning HUB and Trinity meetings as an active member
Managing stakeholder expectations effectively
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience working as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role within software development.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and experience working in Agile development teams.
Experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs, including writing and refining user stories and acceptance criteria.
Ability to translate business objectives and product strategies into clear and actionable development requirements.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and expectations.
Experience gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing customer, user, and market requirements.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to act as an effective bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to define product goals, communicate product vision, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
Experience working closely with software developers, UX/UI designers, and other product team members throughout the development lifecycle.
Ability to make prioritization decisions and provide clear guidance to development teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously.
Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English.
