Department of Nanomaterials Physicochemistry announces a competition for post-doc researcher position in the frame of OPUS 29 project entitled "Recycle PET waste into MOFs for Robust Oxygen Evolution Reactions", under supervision of dr hab. Position: Post – doc researcher

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who would like to work in the frame of OPUS 29 project "Recycle PET waste into MOFs for Robust Oxygen Evolution Reactions", under supervision of dr hab. Xuecheng Chen, prof. ZUT.
Conditions of employment: Fulltime employment contract for 24 months, under the conditions written in the NCN regulations for OPUS 29, with a gross salary of 140,000.00/year (including employer's costs, non-wage labour costs, etc.).
Research tasks:
- Synthesis of Ni/Co-based MOFs derived from waste PET
- Evaluation of the OER performance of PET-derived Ni/Co-MOF electrocatalysts
- Investigation of the OER working mechanism using complementary characterization techniques, including in situ Raman spectroscopy, XRD, and XPS
- Performance of the experimental work according to the research plan
- Analysis of the experimental data
- Writing the scientific papers
Requirements:
- PhD degree holder in chemistry, physics, materials science or related fields
- PhD degree earned in the year of employment or within the past 12 years before January 1st of the employment year (extended by 18 months per child for women or by 90 days for applicants receiving sickness benefits before applying)
- Experience in synthesis of materials
- Laboratory experience
- Analytical thinking, creativity and high motivation
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- At least 20 publications in international impact factor journals
- Open for new knowledge, especially in MOFs
