Graphic Design & Marketing Internship (m/f/d) | Praktikum Grafikdesign & Marketing
Galleria Lucia · Berlin, Germany
You apply on the site where the job is posted. I never handle applications.
Galleria Lucia is a fast-growing creative studio in Berlin creating sculptural candles and artistic home décor. We are an independent brand celebrating art, individuality, body positivity, and sustainability - and we are entering an exciting new stage of growth with the opening of our first permanent retail store in Berlin.
We are looking for a Graphic Design student completing a mandatory university internship (Pflichtpraktikum) who wants to gain hands-on experience developing the visual world of a growing creative brand.
This is a highly creative role. You will have the opportunity to work across branding, packaging, retail design, print, digital campaigns, email marketing, and social media, and see your designs move from an idea on your screen to real-life applications in our store, products, events, and campaigns.
One day you might be designing graphics for our store windows, the next developing packaging for a new product, creating printed materials for an event, or designing visual assets for an email campaign or product launch.
What You’ll Do
- Create graphic design assets across digital and physical brand touchpoints
- Develop designs for our new retail store, including window graphics, signage, stickers, displays, and in-store communication
- Design and develop product packaging, labels, cards, and other branded materials
- Create digital assets for email marketing, website campaigns, product launches, and social media
- Design printed materials such as flyers, postcards, posters, invitations, workshop materials, and promotional pieces
- Support the development and evolution of Galleria Lucia’s visual identity
- Translate our existing branding into creative and consistent designs across different formats
- Prepare artwork and files for professional printing and production
- Develop visual concepts and moodboards for campaigns, collections, events, and seasonal launches
- Participate in creative brainstorming and contribute your own ideas and design concepts
What We’re Looking For
- Mandatory internship required by your university
- Currently studying Graphic Design, Communication Design, Visual Communication, Branding, Marketing or a related creative field
- Strong interest in branding, typography, composition, packaging, and visual communication
- Confident using relevant design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma, or similar
- A strong visual eye and good understanding of contemporary design
- Creative and able to develop original ideas rather than simply following templates
- Interested in translating a brand identity across both digital and physical environments
- Detail-oriented and comfortable preparing professional design files
- Curious, proactive, and willing to experiment creatively
- Open to feedback and interested in developing your skills through real projects
- Must be based in Berlin

What We Offer
- Hands-on experience developing the visual identity of an independent creative brand
- The opportunity to work on real projects that will be produced, printed, launched, and used commercially
- A particularly exciting opportunity to contribute to the visual development of our new Berlin retail store
- Experience across branding, packaging, retail design, print, digital marketing, and social media
- The opportunity to build a diverse portfolio with both digital and physical design work
- Creative freedom to contribute ideas and experiment with different visual directions
- Direct mentorship and feedback from the founder
- Flexible working hours and a creative, hands-on working environment
- Behind-the-scenes experience of growing an independent design brand and bringing creative concepts from idea to final production
