Optimize client management processes through automation and continuous improvement (70%)
- Optimize client management processes by automating and improving software deployment, installation, and maintenance tasks, with a particular focus on the requirements of research and development (R&D) projects
- Support application servers used by research departments, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of research and development projects
- Configure and adapt client devices to accommodate changing project-specific requirements
- Administer, maintain, and optimize the client infrastructure following its cloud migration, using Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base in assyst for incident management, including workarounds and solution proposals to accelerate incident resolution and support the IT Service Desk
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system documentation, user manuals, and online help
Provide first- and second-level support for Fraunhofer SIT client systems (30%)
- Plan, configure, deploy, administer, and remotely support client systems
- Advise and support users on software and hardware-related issues
- Install and administer application servers
- Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues
- Contribute to the development and optimization of standard workflows as well as the automation of IT services and self-service solutions in the areas of client management and service operations
What you contribute
- A degree, vocational qualification, or equivalent experience in information technology and professional experience
- Proven experience in administering and securing modern client infrastructures based on Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender
- Experience in the administration and support of Linux, Windows, and macOS operating systems, as well as client management solutions; experience with Matrix42 Empirum is highly desirable
- Practical experience working in a service-oriented environment based on ITIL best practices
- Experience implementing change management processes
- Experience implementing service design processes
- A resilient, self-motivated, and structured working style, combined with flexibility, strong teamwork skills, and excellent communication abilities

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
