Manager, Professional Services
Digital Aviation Operations & Planning
Location: Gothenburg, Sweden | Type: Full-time | Category: Professional Services
ABOUT THE ROLE
Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking a Manager of Professional Services to lead a delivery team in Gothenburg, Sweden, within our Digital Aviation Operations (DAO) and Digital Aviation Planning (DAP) organizations. This is a first-line leadership role, responsible for a team of implementation specialists and consultants who configure and deliver our airline operations and planning solutions — including Crew Tracking, Operations Control, and crew and network planning products such as Manpower — to airline customers worldwide.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, EMEA, you will hold line responsibility for 5–10 people across 1–2 teams, with the scope of the role expected to grow as the organization scales. Our solutions run in mission-critical, real-time airline environments, where delivery quality directly affects safety, regulatory compliance, and operational continuity. You'll help your team carry that responsibility with pride, leading skilled specialists who solve some of the most challenging optimization and operations problems in aviation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & People Development
- Provide line management for 5–10 implementation specialists and consultants across 1–2 teams, with long-term potential to grow the team as the organization expands.
- Grow people and teams through coaching, mentoring, and regular feedback; own performance management, engagement, and career development for your reports.
- Serve as an active member of the EMEA leadership team, contributing to regional priorities, staffing decisions, and ways of working.
- Drive recruiting and onboarding to build and establish the team, in partnership with regional leadership and HR.
Delivery & Operational Oversight
- Own delivery goals, quality, and the client relationship for a selection of implementation projects across the portfolio.
- Plan and prioritize the team's work, balancing project commitments, utilization targets, and sustainable workload.
- Act as the first escalation point for delivery issues, resolving risk early — with particular attention to cutovers and go-lives for real-time operational systems.
- Ensure implementation approaches reflect current product capabilities, real-world airline operational requirements, and Jeppesen ForeFlight delivery best practices.
Customer & Cross-Functional Engagement
- Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders during key delivery milestones, business reviews, and escalations.
- Travel periodically to customer sites, mainly within Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
- Champion the voice of the customer internally, surfacing feedback and delivery experience to Product and Engineering.
Continuous Improvement
- Gather and drive continuous improvement across the organization, contributing to the department's strategic goals.
- Share lessons learned across teams and regions — go-live strategies, integration patterns, and delivery practices — to reduce variability and elevate the broader organization.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience building, leading, and mentoring software delivery, implementation, or consulting teams within enterprise software.
- Strong people leadership skills, with a track record of developing individuals and building high-performing, customer-focused teams.
- Proven ability to manage delivery commitments, competing priorities, and risk across simultaneous customer engagements.
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.
- MSc, BSc, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Ability to travel internationally on an occasional basis.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a formal people management position.
- Domain knowledge in airline operations or crew management — crew tracking, operations control, crew or network planning — and/or experience customizing Jeppesen crew and network management products.
- Familiarity with the regulatory context of crew legality and operational reporting (e.g., EASA, FAA, IOSA).
- Experience working in or leading agile software delivery functions with external customers.
- Fluency in additional languages.
- Pilot or aviation enthusiast.
