Job Description Summary:

The Scalable Operations Division ensures Operations’ alignment with Nadara’s strategy through:

1) Coordinating communication between Ops and other departments, focusing on growth projects (organic and inorganic)

2) Monitoring progress & strategic alignment of all Ops initiatives (O&M and Digital)

3) Continuously improving the Ops Target Operation Model (TOM) to meet Nadara’s strategic objectives and reduce Cost-to-Serve; ensuring the TOM’s correct adoption and enforcing systems discipline across all assets and centralized functions. This includes analyzing the current TOM and its current adoption, identifying opportunities for improvement, developing and executing Scalable Ops initiatives, and managing Ops Metrics and KPIs.

As Scalable Operations Analyst reporting to the Head of Scalable Operations, you will be performing activities across Scalable Ops’ (SO) full mandate (1,2, & 3), independently owning a significant share of mid-level tasks across all of SO's workstreams - Ops Initiatives, TOM Design and Initiatives, M&A, Organic Growth, Lessons Learned, and KPI Management. You will make day-to-day operational decisions, keep processes running, and maintain dashboard, internal tools and templates, and data automations. You apply your advanced skills in Excel, basic coding skills (using mostly low-code tools), hands-on capability with AI tools and agents, and strong familiarity with operational systems to progressively reduce the team's manual effort and improve the quality and reliability of Scalable Operations' tools and data. Automation and applied AI are not a side activity in this role: they are the primary mechanism through which Scalable Operations absorbs a growing portfolio without growing headcount. Job Description:

Key Responsibilities and Authorities

  • Independently own and execute a broad range of mid-level operational tasks across all Scalable Operations workstreams, exercising operational judgement and making day-to-day decisions without requiring constant escalation to Leads and Associates;
  • Manage recurring Scalable Operations processes end-to-end: initiative status review cycles, KPI data collection and reporting cycles, Lessons Learned submission processing, and TOM-adoption monitoring updates;
  • Coordinate multi-department inputs on behalf of Scalable Operations, chasing stakeholders, consolidating information, and maintaining momentum on deliverables across concurrent workstreams;
  • Conduct structured data reviews and flag inconsistencies, gaps, or risks to the relevant Lead before they escalate;
  • Support the Leads and the Head of Scalable Operations in preparing COO-level outputs: consolidating data, structuring analyses, and drafting first versions of briefings and reports;
  • Maintain the centralised initiative dashboard and all Scalable Operations tracking tools, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and up-to-date status at all times;
  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve Scalable Operations' dashboards and reporting tools (Power BI, Excel), serving as the team's primary technical owner for these assets;
  • Develop and maintain automations and AI agents to reduce manual effort across Scalable Operations processes (Excel/VBA, Python scripts, Power Automate, and more), proactively identifying new opportunities to simplify repetitive work;
  • Work with IT&Digital and NAIT to build more complex agents and automations for Operations, advising on operational requirements while understanding the underlying technical requirements
  • May act as the team’s point of contact for key operational platforms (Maximo, Dynamics 365, Power BI, SharePoint), coordinating with IT on system integrations, data connections, and platform improvements;
  • Own Scalable Operations' data quality standards: enforce, and monitor consistency across all initiative tracking, KPI, and performance management tools.
  • Maintain the Scalable Operations automation and AI backlog: a live register of candidate use cases with estimated manual effort removed, feasibility, data dependencies, owner, and status;
  • Validate AI outputs before they are relied upon, using defined test cases and spot-check protocols, and design the human review points that remain in the process;
  • Assist in quantification and reporting of the effort removed by automations and AI deployment, feeding realized benefits into Scalable Operations' cost-to-serve tracking.

Health & Safety, Quality and Environment (HSQE)

This document must be read in combination with the HSQE Management System Manual, available on Nadara Intranet, which outlines the mandatory HSQE responsibilities and authorities related to this role.

Technical Competences

Data, tooling and process automation

  • Advanced Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, VBA macros) - required;
  • Basic coding skills: SQL for data queries; Python or VBA for automations - required;
  • Proficiency in Power BI or equivalent data visualisation tool - required;
  • Working knowledge of operational systems: Maximo, Dynamics 365, SharePoint - preferred;
  • Able to independently structure and conduct data analyses, and translate results into clear outputs for senior audiences;
  • Strong process orientation: ability to document, standardise, and continuously improve repeatable processes;
  • Comfortable making pragmatic decisions with partial or ambiguous information;
  • Fast learner; able to independently navigate unfamiliar systems, tools, and topics.

Artificial intelligence and agentic automation

  • Prompt engineering: able to write and iterate structured prompts, including system instructions, worked examples, and constrained output formats (for example JSON) that downstream tools can consume - required;
  • Understanding of agentic patterns: tool and function calling, connecting an agent to documents, databases, and business systems, chaining multi-step tasks, and judging when a deterministic script or fixed workflow is better than an agent - preferred;
  • Retrieval-based approaches (RAG): preparing and structuring document sets, indexing, and testing retrieval quality for question-answering over Operations documentation – preferred.

Behaviours and Soft Skills

  • Full-spectrum generalist: intellectually curious and comfortable contributing across all Scalable Operations topics, from M&A inputs to TOM adoption tracking;
  • Proactive and autonomous: identifies gaps and acts on them without waiting to be asked;
  • Highly organised and reliable: strong personal systems for tracking tasks, deadlines, and stakeholder commitments across many parallel workstreams;
  • Strong attention to data accuracy and process consistency;
  • Collaborative and service-oriented: committed to making the senior team faster and better through both task ownership and tooling.
  • Automation instinct: when faced with a repetitive task, the first question asked is whether a person should be doing it at all, and the second is what the simplest reliable way to remove it is;
  • Evidence-driven about AI: willing to test, measure, and retire tools that do not deliver, and comfortable saying when AI is not the right solution.

Education and Qualifications

  • Mandatory: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any field - degree subject is less important than demonstrated analytical ability and technical aptitude;
  • Preferred: prior experience in an operational, analytical, or project coordination role in the energy or industrial sector;
  • Preferred: demonstrated experience with data tools, process automation, or operational system administration.
  • Preferred: a demonstrable portfolio of automations, agents, or internal tools built in a professional or personal capacity; practical evidence of what has been built and used will carry more weight than certification.

Travel Requirements

Limited travel may be required for coordination purposes or stakeholder workshops across Nadara's operational geographies.
